So bulk 2020.113 is one of the oldest outstanding subs. Believe only 1 other older than it. It’s been 8 months and only in grading. Since this will likely be a year till it’s done can we demand they don’t upcharge us? Lol. There should be a rule like that

LOL I wish!!!

Some of the cards i sent in were worth like $40-$300 in of one the oldest standard subs still in grading, now those same cards are $300-$5000. and I'm not talking psa 10's either.

And a rule if you pay for standard, and bulk orders logged on or after the day they receive them are completed before said standard, you don’t pay for standard. At this point you’re not paying for an upgraded service, but gambling on PSA to have their stuff together.

No joke! I’m in on 113 with 80’s and 90’s baseball and basketball rookie cards. Got some cards on 182 in assembly.

Definitely the waiting game, but eventually things will pop. I just keep sending them because better time have stuff I. Hand when season start than to have them at PSA. Basketball and baseball is where I am living currently.

I know there is no real rhyme or reason to which subs get finished first. PsA certainly doesn’t do FIFO by any means. I just wish there was some sort of concession like hey we had your cards for a year no upcharges lol.

True lol, but just generally speaking from anyone who’s recently subbed Express. Just trying to gauge if the extra cost is even worth it these days.

They’ve been running at about 4 weeks door to door. Fwiw I would not be shocked to see that increase. We were at about 120-150 cards twice per week and now we are at nearly 1000 just that level.

People are willing to pay more to get em back faster. Standard becoming more popular than bulk by a wide margin too.

Love the fact that Bulk 223 and 224 are in assembly while Standard 82 is still in grading.

Cant wait for the results , have 20 cards in there from my 75$ cdn Prizm WC 2018 set in there , sold a Heungmin dime i didnt include in that one for 375$ u.s recently. And 6 card from a 2016 Prizm Uefa 40cdn set. Will have to recheck these set if i didnt leave anyone behind worthy of grading.

Expectations on return times needs to be tempered with the realization that there are 10 times as many cards being submitted for grading in a time when EVERYTHING is slower.

Hmmmm, I’m in .82 too with what will be several upcharges now as well. Wonder if the length of time is due to the number of upcharges.

I’m thinking of just sending more Bulk instead of Standard going forward. If Standard is going to start taking 8 months, I’m honestly OK with spending less than half the price per card to wait another 2 months for Bulk. The only problem here will be if Bulk gets pushed even further down the line and new ones start taking 12+ months. Right now I have 13 subs either at PSA or headed to PSA, 8 of them are Standard and 5 of them are Bulk, so I’ll be tracking times to average out a difference in Standard vs Bulk door to door.

Right now, 3 of my 8 Standards were shipped to PSA over 5 months ago and none of them have moved past the Grading stage. I know that’s a small sample size but this basically shows me that the chance of Standards being completed in less than 6 months going forward will probably be slim. My other 5 Standards have not moved past Research yet, but they are not as old as these 3 oldest ones. None of my 5 Bulks have moved past Research yet, but my oldest one was only shipped to PSA about 4 months ago, so I know I still have a long time to go on those yet. I’ll have better data probably in about 3-4 months.

This is going to be the interesting scenario though. If Bulk starts taking more than a year to grade, that will have long term repercussions for the hobby. Is 107/113 (bulk) at the year mark yet? Or were those May 2020 bulks

Edited to say - I think if the cheapest service takes longer than a full season to grade, we’ll have long term repercussions. More than a year would be 2 seasons effectively, which puts us in even crazier territory. Imagine submitting baseball in May 2020 only to get it back in September 2021, after 2 full seasons have passed

2020.107 was end of May. However it was a Modern sub, not ultra modern. The Ultra modern sub submitted the same day popped a little over a month ago.
