Sad that that's what it came down to.

Was up early this morning trying to get onto an early schedule with me leaving around 4am Thursday for Nashville. Of course that meant that I slept 3 hours this afternoon.

At least I am still somewhat tired and will try to settle in at a decent time tonight.

The bad thing is that I missed a text asking if I could have had my infusion this afternoon instead of tomorrow morning.

Going to Mission BBQ for the first time tomorrow after the infusion. Hopefully it is at least adequate.

I'm tired of rain. Woke up to it this morning at home too after it already rained 60 straight hours in Myrtle Beach.

Friday was the most productive day of photographing fire trucks we had. Met my one friend down there at his house and we got delayed because he had to take his wife to work. Thankfully, she works at a country club in an exclusive gated community which has their own fire department.

We had a good day with photos at a few Horry County Fire Rescue Stations, all 3 Conway Fire Department stations (got a patch from one of the Chief's too), the last Murrells Inlet station I needed and we went back to HW station where all the smaller boats and high water rescues were staged for the storm, and all 3 Midway stations including the one inside that gated community.

With the anticipation of rain in Myrtle Beach on Saturday, we headed west. First we went to Florence Fire Department Station 1 and photographed their stuff including their Pierce Ascendant Tower (#89). My local friend had a contact in Darlington, so we hit a bunch of the Darlington County Fire Rescue Stations. We also did Hartsville Fire Department and one of the Darlington County EMS stations. On the way back, my other friend had a contact at Horry County Station 46, so with a slight break in the rain, we headed there.

Sunday was a complete washout. I stayed in the hotel room all day working on the photos from the previous two days. Around 10AM the fire alarms went off. As I was evacuating, the hotel sent a message saying water had gotten into the alarm sensors and triggered the alarms. Since I heard the fire engine coming, I decided to go downstairs anyway. The hallway where my room was is open to the elements and rain was already flooding the hallway by the stairwell. The stairwell also had a constant stream of water flowing down it. I did get a photo of Myrtle Beach Engine 3.

Since I needed real food for lunch and dinner, around 11AM, I decided to order a Humongous Howie's pizza. The store was about 3 blocks away and the roads were flooded already. I got absoultely drenched with water walking from my car to the store and back. Luckily, most people checked out that morning so I could park my car under the overhang out front. I was not going to chance the underground parking garage with the flooding.

Howie doesn't sound Italian, so it wasn't real pizza (food).

Left early yesterday morning heading to Fayetteville. In Tar Heel, I stopped at a Hardee's to use the restroom and upon leaving, saw a fire station rod sign to my right. Made a detour and found a volunteer station that actually had people manning it. I photographed all of the fire trucks including the last "vacuum-style" tanker E-One ever made.

Stopped at Fayetteville Fire Department Station 1 and they were just finishing up doing their morning checks on the Ascendant Tower. Photographed that and the engine. Stopped in at Station 4 and photographed the reserve engine and swuad they were in for the day. While there, Engine 2 went by on a grocery run, so I photographed it at Food Lion since it was my next planned stop anyway. Headed over to Station 1 and photographed the engine, squad, and reserve ladder. Last stop before heading home was the HQ Station at 14 where I photographed the engine but the heavy rescue I wanted was still out.

Yes, barely edible, but it's cheap, big, and was close to the hotel.

So that employee who was let go Friday couldn't even make it on time to his own read-out. Of course he was blowing up my work phone because my boss never bothered to change the e-mail sent to him to let him know he'd ne meeting with one of my other employees instead of me. He showed up so late, everyone here on our contract was gone for a luncheon. My wife said he was asking the lead on her contract why he was let go.

My SIL is so a piece of crap. He finally came home Sunday from work since he is always working extra shifts. He leaves his work clothes in the middle of the living room. My middle SD was tired as she is having a bad pregnancy and told him she was going to take a nap since he was home to take care of our granddaughter, He dumps the kitchen trash on their bed so she can't take a nap. He then wants to know why she didn't being in all of the groceries from the car (she left the heavier, non-perishable stuff in the car for him).

She packed a bag for the two of them and came to our house. They spent the day with my wife between parent teacher conferences and eye doctor appointments. She stayed at our house last night. I'm not sure when she's going home.
