I am picking T and the other woman we worked with and meeting our old HR person for a late lunch at some place called the Metro Diner. It is a place they wanted to try. Based on their menu, I may freak them out and get a salad.

I know Glen (and others here) would have their bodies revolt at that, but every once in a while it is good. I especially like it at Zaxby's.

Metro diner is good if it's indeed the same small chain

Nothing wrong with a good salad. Sometimes when me and T go out I'll get a nice salad with my meal. The last time we went somewhere with good salads we got into a discussion about opening a salad place modeled after subway where you could get whatever added you wanted.

When I started looking I found several places that do it. The franchise fees are outrageous for them.

Knowing some of the decision makers around here, you're 100% right there. Our mayor promised a tennis team from another town they could play at our tennis center for a playoff match, he never checked if we had anything. Guess kids clinic isn't important.

We had our best wrestler move to a Catholic school this year for his junior year. He’s pretty good, I wouldn’t be surprised if he won states next year.

It happens here too. The team we'll probably play to go to state is a charter school that recruits all of Charleston for the best players. Regular high schools have gone down in talent as this charter school has become a power. They beat a nationally ranked 5A school earlier this year. I hate we have to play them, we have kids that grew up in town, they have kids from all over the area down there. Not exactly equal playing field.
