Giannis.... 5th most shots in the game today... gets a triple double 11/14/15... Bucks up double digits late in the 4th.

This Bucks team will be scary if Giannis can take a night off and still get a triple double

I keep hearing... the Bucks traded away their defense when they got Dame. Buck don't have the defense any more. What will the Bucks do for defense?

Well... that defense was on display tonight in San Fran. I didn't see that defense do a whole hell of a lot to slow down Curry and the Warriors. That defense was a game worse -14. That defense scored 13 points and had 1 lone assist. Curry with 5 fouls scored like 93 points in the 4th and OT. Where was that defense when it mattered tonight? ... Ohhhhhh... the same place it was when Buckets was torching him last playoffs. Will the Bucks miss that defense??? I'm not so sure.

Sixers didn't even have Batum and Covington to guard the Wolves wings and Melton got hurt and had to leave early also. Didn't matter. Crushed the West's #1 team with ease.

Nesmith will probably pair up with Ja when it counts. I think that based on the new Pacers offensive and defensive schemata it will be a close game. I would personally bet Indy hard with Jalen Smith back controlling the interior. The second unit shot 18/20 last night. However, it is a back to back back on the road for Indiana.

Basically, the Pacers did a tape up practice before the Hornets game, in the midst of a 4 game slide, led by crash who was tasked with making a more physical approach "contagious." Carlyle threatened shaking up the starting lineup, but decided that the current two unit system actually make sense, even if the bench often outperforms. A large part of the defensive change is simply having Smith to slot in, who has emerged as a core player. It's also about sacrificing the body if necessary. I would watch the last game in its entirety for specifics.

On the offensive side, one focus was on getting Haliburton acclimated to the more physical defense he is now facing. He is going to need to bulk up eventually, but that's not gonna happen overnight. The silver lining is that Buddy Hield finally found his 3 in the second half and he usually keeps that going a few games once he gets in a groove.

Anyway, Nesmith suddenly cant miss, shooting 44.8 from beyond the 3 point line and hitting all his interior shots as well. (also making really good assists, str8 out of the Ty playbook). Long run, he is projected as the starting 3. And math working on eliminating the redundant dribbling, which should help resolve much of the turnover issue. There is no questioning his toughness. I think this team is well positioned to win one of the two games against Bucks in early January.

4 players from the 2014 draft class have more career points than Embiid. Can anybody name them without looking them up?

Why is Embid in any conversation? Until he puts together a strategic unit that can vye for a championship, he is that much short of Kawhi Leonard.
