Today I am Michael Corleone but in a GOOD way.

I was pretty much all done Toys for Tots shopping and then this morning I wake up for an additional $$300 in donations. So it's off to get more toys and maybe rent a truck to get them all to the event.

I had very good sale from someone who doesn't normally buy from me and 1 decent sale from one of my regulars. Aside from that, the show was a disappointment. Sales are only slightly better than the show last week because of that big sale. I am not expecting much tomorrow as the Bucs have a home game.

My wife’s cousin and her husband made a red eye to Maui to help her (even though the oldest aunt was with on the trip). My wife’s cousin lives on drama and being the hero so she didn’t hesitate to leave. Everything we are learning is through her. Grandma has to wait two weeks to fly home. Mr JD posts things to do in our shared family calendar. I was accidentally clicked on tomorrow and got all the Christmas cards ready to send out today. Now, all I have to help him with tomorrow is outside decorations which shouldn't take us very long. I hope to work in sorting more cards tomorrow.

Newberry’s reward for making the semi finals? A 13+ hour trip to Big Rapids Michigan to face the defending champs Ferris state. They’ve won 3 of the last 4 titles. Last time we played the defending champs was 2021 when we went to West Florida to open the playoffs and beat them.

Forecast for up there next Saturday, high 15, low 7, and snow. We don’t see snow down here. And 7 degrees? Our cars wouldn’t work right and we’d stay inside.

We went 3-7 last year. There were talks of firing the coach. I love Coach Todd Knight. The man will do anything he can for the youth program here. He’s run clinics for us, let us borrow equipment, come to the games. His son played in our program. I went to college with his daughter. Been to his house several times for dinners. He wanted me to play football but my body wouldn’t let me.

This season has been fun. Just an under the radar group playing one play at a time. Next week is truly David vs Goliath. Traditional power vs the school nobody knows. If we go up there and shock the world, I’ll be doing everything I can to get to the national championship game out in Texas.
