One other point to submit now vs waiting. If you believe that he will continue to be great and add to his greatness...which in theory would push his card values upward, that also means the graded card may hit a value that is higher than the "max insured value" for bulk ($500). Say the graded card value turns into $900-1000 and you submitted at the $19.99 bulk rate. PSA could upcharge you to the next level of service, $59.99 so you end up paying $40 more.

PSA is definitely grading harder these days. I have two plus 20 card orders, and 4 10’s out of the group. Lots of 8’s

His average EV for balls he hit yesterday was 102 MPH, and xBA .536.

I'm constantly amazed by this dude...

I pitched in HS. I was a bit of a hothead. I absolutely beaned a couple dudes on purpose. And though I didn't have the arm talent to reach back and throw heat (much less, hit anything remotely near triple digits), I never missed around the neck/head area. If you watch that HBP in slow-mo, that pitch was headed right for Sho's head. At 100 MPH. It's an inexcusable pitch, regardless of the retaliatory aspect, because that FB is supposed to land between the ass and the middle of the numbers. If you don't have control, you miss low (knees/thighs) because you absolutely don't miss high (neck/head). Again, I knew this sh&t at 16-17.

Sho brushing that off was one of the more boss-moves I've seen from a baseball player in recent memory. And I sincerely hope a Padre wears a triple-digit FB on the fleshy part of the ass/back next time they meet.

Doc confirmed Sho was able to deflect the ball and he's fine. But yeah, his reaction was legendary - transcends the game. Now he needs to hit. Gore tomorrow is not an easy matchup.

I dunno, I think that in the postseason there would be less chance for antics since neither team would want to risk losing players to suspension in a best of 5/7 series.

MLB has a diamond it needs to protect and I wouldn't expect anything less than them mismanaging the biggest star's health in the game since Bonds.

Anyone who hits Ohtani on purpose should be suspended for a week without question.

The WNBA is just as stupid not being able to protect Clark. Both leagues are mind-bogglingly incompetent protecting their best investments.

For sure. I wasn't implying plunking players, but just intensity and animosity. It's already high, but it may have just gotten a little higher.
