Can anyone who has had the following happen, shed some light onto how COMC has handled the issue? Sent in a single box submission, that included three batches. One select (raw), one select (graded) and one with eight cards Direct-to-Grading. Included the printout that separated the batches.

The two select batches were received over a week ago, but nothing on the Direct-to-Grading cards. I've done these combined submissions before and everything was received together on the same day. I'm really worried that they 'lost' the Direct-to-Grading cards.

I've emailed them, but of course have not received a reply. If they are 'lost', how does COMC handle that and do they reimburse the value I listed on the submission form?

No if's about it. It is their new policy, I guess. They've taken $25+ from me for just 1 return(which was their fault!) and somewhere around 8-10(items) for non-payers just in the last month(maybe another $25~, total). You used to have to email them, most of the time, but they'd refund your fees. I haven't actually gotten a response back to them taking $25+ in fees for a return...after 1 email a week for 6 weeks straight, except a seemingly automated reply where they didn't even respond to my question. With that said, I do know someone who also had fees taken after a non-payment and he did email and they did respond. They told him they'd already done the work, and he wouldn't be getting a refund, basically. I haven't even attempted an email about the other items...seems pointless and only causes me frustration/"work".

Thinking about putting some slabs out to pasture 🐄🐄🐄🤠
Thursday or Friday would give you the best chance at a Sunday end date, but it's totally random. You could get a Monday or Tuesday if sending either of those days as well. But, after 2,000+ items sent to auction...those two days yield Sundays the most. If you send Friday/Saturday/Sunday...you'll almost for sure end up with Monday-Thursday. Good luck guessing if you send Tuesday or Wednesday.

They are bad at what they do, in almost all instances of anything eBay auction related. They love to end high dollar items on Friday and Saturday nights at nearly 12 midnight EST.

PS. I did have 1 item end and not get paid for where they DIDN'T take fees from me, but that was sent via the "Cash via PayPal" option. It just went back into my account...after damn near a month . I was fairly "worried" that they were going to try and stiff me on the $50+ fee on that one too, but they didn't.

All of the instances of them not refunding me, whether returns or non-payers, were all the "COMC Store Credit" option.

So, if you're debating how you want to sell something via COMC auctions...if it's worth going the "Cash via PayPal" option, I'd definitely go that route. They'll get very little "high end" that I buy on the site anymore. It'll almost all get shipped home. But, if I do send anything high(er) end, it'll go the "Cash via PayPal" option, for sure. Small crap is still getting sent to regular auction, and I guess I'll just look at the fees they steal as part of doing business on there

Unpaid eBay auctions have become a problem on comc. On one hand it seems like COMC doesnt do much to curb this (I see no evidence of comc requiring autopay on auctions, which is an option on eBay, I have never heard of any eBay buyer account blocked by comc, which should be happening with any auction going unpaid). I get auctions going unpaid then COMC is adding insult to injury each and every time charging you, the seller, the auction fee when it goes unpaid- this is so silly and shouldnt be happening. The seller is making $0- zero- on the transaction. A buyer on eBay can come along, sabotage your eBay auction, not pay, you get nothing, and then it even costs you money because COMC charges you for that. On top of that there doesn’t even seem to be a big deterrent for a buyer to do this. Doubt they’ll be blocked.

It may not be a lot ($0.99 for low dollar item), but it adds up. Money being sent to COMC for nothing. Just look at Orion’s post upthread, what was it $25+ from buyers not paying for his auctions. “Sending an item to auction” on comc id imagine is just an electronic thing, not exactly manpower driven. With unpaid auctions on eBay I’m pretty sure I’m not out anything when that happens to me when selling on my own. So curious why the nonrefundable auction fee at all. Since I don’t see enough being done to curb the nonpaying buyers, and COMC is charging us for auctions that go unpaid, I now have to curb my auctions being sent to eBay. I know others who have made similar decisions. These unnecessary fees add up.
It is absolutely ridiculous the card owner is being charged for an unpaid auction. The fact that they are doing this is why no ebay users get blocked and are able to continue not paying. COMC gets the benefit monetarily if an item is paid and the cost of someone not paying is on the card owner. They are not taking care of their COMC members sending them the cards they need to make money.

Yep I notice my store credit amount mysteriously changing and sure enough I look at the store credit history and it’s COMC taking a fee for items that went unpaid and I got $0 from.

I once inquired to customer service why am I paying every time for a buyer sabotaging my auction by not paying. And the response was along the lines of “this is protected info how comc operates, blah blah”. I am not convinced COMC is doing anything like devoting manpower to an item sent to auction, it’s presumably automatic within the system. It makes no sense why we are charged for it if it goes unpaid and there’s no transaction at all.

It would be one thing if they charge the fee but then take aggressive measures to curb it- blocking nonpayers, auto pay requiring, etc….still shouldnt be charging the fee. but whatever I guess. But the fact so little seems to be done to curb nonpayers and charging the fee as well just seems ridiculous.

Longtime member and collector who’s been in and out of the hobby a handful of times. I was looking for some insight about EPack/COMC shipping but from reading this thread it sounds like I’m just at their mercy.

On 4/3 I requested a shipment (first class) from EPack. The package was packed on 4/6, shipped on 4/10 and received a few days later with no problems.

Fast forward to last week and after opening more packs than I’d like to admit on EPack I hit something halfway decent (roughly a 4 figure card). I request shipment to myself via first class paying $20. On 4/13 my 2 card shipment is packed with an expected ship date of 4/17 and then crickets.

My question is when do I start getting really worried? Are they just so backed up that I get it when I get it? I wouldn’t be so worried if my shipment two weeks ago wasn’t such a breeze.

I wouldn't be overly worried about it. Either you or your estate/next of kin will get it eventually.

In all seriousness, it seems to be getting incrementally better over the last month or two. My recent shipments have gone from ~3 months past estimated ship date to like 3-6 weeks past estimated ship date. Smaller shipments have seemed to fare better. Your mileage may vary.

Standard shipping requested 3/14, estimated ship date 5/15, started the picking process today on 4/22. They said it is expected on 4/27 now.

Over one month with no purchases. Wish things with shipping will change.

Has anyone ever had problem subbing from COMC to PSA. I did it just to save a little time I thought the grades mught come out better, Man I was completely wrong I have submitted over 5,000 cards for grading and have never gotten such poor results cards I sent in should have been Gem and 9 at the worst but so far I have gotten back several 6 and 7s I am not sure why I would definately think twice before using Direct to Grading with them. I dont know how well they take care of the cards once they get them because I have NEVER GOTTEN Back this bad of grades on this many cards ( and looking at the images of them on COMC they look like the fronts got scratched or something and it is not just one card it is many........Just wondering if I am the only one and this was just a bad example I have 2 other batches of about 100 each I already sent in and am regretting it now.

PSA is just inconsistent. I sent in a card direct to grading that I was sure going to get a 7 or 8, and ended up getting a 10 and getting an upcharge.

when did they increase the shipping and handling card price from $0.25 to $0.50? I have been meaning to get my collection sent home for ages and I guess my laziness has just cost me an extra $300 or so.... that really sucks.

In May 2025 they implemented an extra 25 cent per card surcharge for outgoing shipments. However, they also introduced a "Bulk" shipping service where you pay $19.99 and the usual handling charge, but not the surcharge. At that time, a Bulk shipment of 500 cards (the maximum) would run about $145 if they were normal cards, and the cards were originally purchased in Advanced Reseller Mode.

In March 2026, they changed the standard handling charge to 50 cents (previously 25 cents), and kept the surcharge. So a Bulk shipment of 500 cards purchased in Advanced Reseller Mode now runs about $275. If purchased in Simplified Shipping Mode, it will run $19.99. Either way Bulk shipments are currently taking about 3-4 months, and Standard shipments about 2-3 months.

Ive just recently gotten back in the hobby but it’s absolutely baffling to me that COMC is operating this way. The fact that it’s taking 3-4 months after the expected delivery date to get an order and the fact that they cant provide new outlooks makes zero sense to me.

How can a company sustain with this type of business model? Is it because of zero competition?

Just took three months to ship a standard order

Service: Standard
Date Requested: 1/23/2026
Estimated Ship date: 2/23/2026
Actual Ship Date: 4/23/2026

Emailed them on 4/7, no response, emailed them yesterday to follow up, no response then I got the shipped notification. Thought they said they got better at responding to emails ...

Same way Fanatics is operating with no Quality Control, high prices and lack of service. They are the best there is at what they do, even though they aren't very good at what they do in the eyes of many.

The warehouse staff were motivated on 4/20… wonder why?

I’m pretty sure they are just arbitrarily putting some cards on remote status. Didn’t they say they moved all operations to one location?

I guess this is what I dont understand about COMC’s process. Why would an Economy Rush package packed on 4/20 ship out before an Economy Rush package packed on 4/13? Is it just luck of the draw?

Yea I have already and got a BS response. I happened to pull a Jack Nicklaus Sp Chorigraphy Auto #’d 01/25 and of course that’s the package that has been MIA. Starting to convince myself of the worst.

I had a package of only 10 cards, and someone posted in here that they had 3 shipments ship out before mine, even though mine was requested a week earlier. It was going on over 3 weeks, so I had to email CS. It ended up being picked and shipped that day. I think if I had not emailed it would still be lagging.

It seems they are all over the place in regards to the shipping. You might want to email CS and put the shipment order in the Email header, it might get more notice.
