Did you mean 10/17? I would agree but when will they start? I thought it would be T Chrome but not sure now. Perhaps SP in a product. He could get autos in TC and Heritage High (redemptions) but not a base card. He may not get a regular base card until Update.

I know. That was my thought too but they could do what they did last year and include a stellar auto checklist to drive the product.

I totally agree. Topps would miss a big opportunity if no Belly in HHN. You would think there would be a big push to get him into the product with a base or SP card. But with the announcement that he is confirmed in Update why didn't they say that about HHN?

Topps already released a mockup auto for Triple Threads. Would not surprise me if he was in several things before Update.

Today, I picked up two RC-logoed Bellinger cards, both of the Topps Now (TN) variety which up to this point is a product I have not purchased before.

First, I bought the 2017 TN #85, Bellinger's 4/25/17 MLB debut card. With a print run of just 1555 and the fact that this card is Bellinger's 1st RC-logoed card ever issued, seems like it could have some very nice upside considering the extremely reasonable price I got it for.

Secondly, I picked up the 2017 TN #194, Bellinger's 5/28/17 TN Auto card commemorating his achievement as the fastest Dodger to reach 10 career home runs. Significantly, this is Bellinger's 1st RC-logoed, hard-signed (or sticker) Topps Certified Autograph card -- an attribute which gives it big-time upside. I picked up the base /99 for what I feel was a very, very nice price considering the above and the fact that the 15BC Auto is kinda getting out of hand.

TN is a really nice option for someone like Bellinger -- called up early in the new season (as opposed to a September call up the season before) and thus unable to be included in Series 1, Series 2, Bowman or Heritage.

I'm a fan of Topps Now myself, but there will always be people saying "Topps Now doesn't matter. It has to be pack pulled." and I could understand that too.

#85 is a very good card with superb image.
I think that one will hold value. I wish I had bought more, but not doing so with the current market price (around $30?).
By the way, Topps Now base cards are sold as $9.99 a piece, or with volume discount of $6 per card if you buy 5, $5 per card if you buy 10, and $4 per card if you buy 20. So, that's how the resellers on eBay are making money.

The autos came out cheap (when considering the secondary market value) initially when Topps sold them on the website.
(They released his 2nd auto today on Topps Now again with higher price).
The #/99 was sold as $99.99 on the 1st release.
All the Topps Now autos have been on-card, and the Bellinger will be on-card as well.

It's been a few years, but draft used to have rookies. Trout has a draft rookie.

I honestly don't see them putting him in this, but he should be able to make Bowman chrome pretty easily. It would just go against what they've turned draft into the laat few years. Don't think it would be 2,000 though unless it was legitmately his only rookie auto then I guess it could be.

Really think he should be able to make chrome, that's September 6th. This is the only year they can ever use a rookie logo for him, they are going to fit him in to things.
