Unless Topps has some sort of weather or production issue with shipping it out, it will arrive on release day from BO whether you pay for overnight shipping or not so don't waste your money doing it.

Thinking of just going for one hobby box and one jumbo. Almost went with a case of hobby but I just kept looking at the design and not loving it. I’m afraid I will just get bored after a few boxes as I break for my personal enjoyment. I don’t think I have the energy to bust and sort a whole case in a couple days. Get me a card with borders Topps!!

Thanks, I think I will do that. I was just looking at the specs and like having a better chance at pulling an auto of note with jumbo. I got lucky with S1 hobby last year. I only bought two and one box had a Frank Thomas auto #/25 and a Ted Williams SSP so I’m sure my hobby luck is gone.

I know somewhere (maybe in this thread for a short time) it's been mentioned that series 2 presell boxes are significantly more than series 1 boxes. This makes no sense to me. Either people are just plain stupid and are pricing it and paying it strictly based on what has happened the last two years (attributed 100% to the rookies) OR I am stupid and am overvaluing Series 1 based on the rookie checklist (and ignoring the past for series 1, which i maintain was due to bad rookie checklists).
My thinking is flagship is flagship and the rookies will drive the sealed box prices. I can't understand why series 1 - just because of weak past checklists - is so much less than series 2 - just because the last two years had great rookie checklists. What am I missing here? ![]() |

These place holders in the past have adjusted downward a day or two after going live. Does not seem to be the case anymore. Morons are buying, so they keep the price steady (or goes up). Can't fault blowout. They are a business, and that is smart business. Blame the ignorant consumers.

It's so if LRobert or Adell hit a HR early in spring people have somewhere(beyond BC) to spend $ in their excitement. Silly to pay that.

Is Adell really expected to get the call-up in time for S2?

Vlad was up 4/26 and barely got in? I would guess no for Adell.

I see hobby cases are at 659 right now, what were they before that?

Yeah, other than Luis Robert, who is going to drive series 2? And as much of a fan of Robert as I am, I could see him struggling adjusting to MLB pitchers right now. Although, It would not shock me if a few guys were held back to move it. Just holding back one of Lux, Bichette, or Hoerner, would likely move a 100’s of extra series 2 cases

Aquino could be held back as well. I thought for sure he would be one of the announced names.
