no, no joke. commons are what base cards of no "assigned value" are.

The question now is does Topps use the same J-Rod image for the Sonicfractor that it did for Logofractor?

I assume another image would make the Sonicfractor version more desirable than if they used the Logofractor image again.

My guess is that logofractor, sonicfractor, and hobby Lite mini-diamond JRods all use the same image (ie, different than the ESP)

They've used so many different photos that if they made them all from the same at bat, you could make a flip book out of them.

Haha, that’d actually be awesome.

Or 9 different images for each inning of a given game.

Fits nicely into a 9-pocket too.
