I used to be a big fan of him. Undersized, not that athletic defending players bigger at a high level on guile and smarts. Facilitating the offense. He was great. Now, he has lost a step and can't guard like he use to. It was always a fine line that would eventually be crossed. To make up for he has doubled and tripled down on trying to win the mental edge. Except, he crossed that line from being a sly veteran to plain ass and cheap shot guy. Not to mention, he deserves 3-4 techs a night from the refs with all his screaming. The only tool he has left is to try to intimidate through his extra curricular. A lot veterans at this point just become spot shooters on pick and pops or whatever when they no longer quick enough to crash boards. Dray can't shoot.

He should get a hefty suspension. Half a season or something. Time for him to hang them up.

Edit: in no world, is flailing your arms around like that not intentional. He likely didn't "intend" to hit Juric across the face. He did intend to hit him blindly and connect somewhere randomly. So in the end his excuse is moot.

Agree with this also. Silver/NBA going to crumble under the pressure from the player's union. What we may see happen if Green continues these type of actions, is that we may see players start taking things into their own hands and we may see some hockey style justice dished out during games.

I’m with you. And it’s a shame with how the playoffs are structured that a team like GSW would never miss the playoffs barring injury to Curry.

Green is just so competitive though! Sometimes that boils over but you have to understand he just wants to win so badly! He's sorry if he unintentionally offended anyone. He didn't mean to!

At this point, what does a player have to do in the arena/court of play to get suspended for an entire season?

Even if a player went into the stands again, they'd probably get 15-20 max.

See, I disagree. Draymond's actions are almost always calculated. Hard to tell in this instance.

Off the court, he is fine from what I can tell. He will be a media darling in no time once he is retired.

Meh, one drunken late night bar fight while in college from a guy taunting him. Shouldn't have done it for sure, but willing to let that slide from saying he is a "problem". Haven't heard of any off the court issues since turning pro.

Draymond's biggest problem is that he convinces himself that what he does is unintentional (in most cases) when anyone observing it knows this pattern of behavior is anything but unintentional. Another way of viewing this is NO ONE else in the NBA is doing what Draymond does. You can look at the reaction of his teammates, on the bench when this happened, and can see they weren't surprised in the least.

I'm going with 10-12 games. Personally, I would suspend him 10. Anything 15+ games is emotional and bending to the mob.

Ah, I misread the article. It didn't happen while in college. I read it with another MSU player in E Lansing and assumed during college. Does it make it worse. Still a one time thing. It is a black mark for sure. I will still contend his on court stuff is calculated and he is not a loose cannon. Also, you will see him on pre game sports desks once he retires. Media will love him.

HELLUVA' ball player, no doubt, but;....a gosh damn THUG! If this were an ISO incident (even,..."occasional"!) perhaps it could be......"overlooked" (eg; not such a headline-sports, news event). But,... dude has demonstrated,...time & time, again,....season after season,...he has a habit of beatin' people up on the court!!

Wouldn’t calculated be even worse? So he’s out there with a pre-meditated plan to injure other players?

He’s not a media darling anymore. Every incident like this threatens his post-playing days career. I hope he loses it all. And by the way, the vast majority of people never are arrested for assault and never get in a physical altercation during our lifetimes. He is an unstable and violent prick. These types of people usually suffer from one of two fates. Accidentally seriously harm someone or they meet their match and get seriously harmed themselves.

The fact that Ja has lost more games because he had a gun than Draymond who has actively tried to hurt multiple players (and succeeded many times) is a bad look for the league for the near future.

Fully believe this is not calculated, and people give him more credit than he deserves. He is completely emotionally unhinged, and he has not masculine figure who has any balls to hold him accountable.

The brothas in the media have given him a pass for fear of accusing a black man of having "anger issues" and the fallout that comes from that (SASs words today...and I agree). TNT gives people like him a platform, along with other mentally/emotionally unhinged players like KG recognizing him as a peer, by doing so almost validating his behavior. Shaq/Barkley, nobody has held him accountable there. His head coach is a woke bitch who'd rather harp on social issues than manage the emotions of his players. Curry has no stones. The talking head morning shows are hosted by people of one color who are racially biased, they aren't going to hold him accountable and have given his behavior excuse after excuse.

Shame, somebody could have intervened a long time ago.

What did the NBA expect? They go easy on him all the time, because they love their precious Warriors. Green has been a thug for years and the NBA does little to nothing about it. He tried to choke a man out and they gave him 5 games? So Im sure in his head he figured he could punch a guy and get 10 or so. Its ridiculous at this point. Suspension should be the rest of the season, but will probably only be around 20 games if that.
