Forza Inter !

This is awesome I would love to attend these European nights. Short walks are great!

it's amazing how insufferable Klopp has become and how much the media just licks his load up every time he's upset about something. Guy ignores they've benefitted from VAR more than any other club but loses his mind every time a bad call goes against them

Been away for a couple weeks and missed this but there's lots going on.

They've underwent a major overhaul and regardless of money spent, there will need to be some time for players to settle, learn new manager/teammates/system, etc. That and they've bought too many players tbh.

Injuries have been a big problem. That's not to say that other teams arent going through their own stuff but it isnt helping a young/inexperienced team. Big one was Nkunku. He was a huge part of preseason and the link between midfield and the forwards and I think Poch had a hard time figuring out plan B to start the season.

Underlying numbers have been pretty good so still a bit optimistic but they've got to start finishing the chances they're creating.

Barcelona will reportedly listen to offers for all first-team players as the club are still operating above the 270m euros (£234m) La Liga-imposed annual spending limit.

I’ll give em a dollar for Frenkie. They can keep the rest and just rename the club to FC Spotify

Man United lose at home to Galatasaray after another goalkeeping blunder by Onana....how long until Ten Haag gets the sack now?

Chicago Fire have offered a financial incentive for fans attending Wednesday's MLS match against Inter Miami, whose star player Lionel Messi could miss out through injury.

It's nice that they are offering people discounts on next seasons tickets, but the fact they are only doing it because they are braced for a stadium full of cry babies is hilarious. What next? Full refunds if Messi doesn't play?

Brenden Aaronson appears to be playing even worse in Germany than he was in England. Concerning, considering he's still a Leeds player, and we need to get a fee for him. The kid just looks absolutely out of his depth in top level European football.

If he carries on with this trajectory he's going to back in Austria, the MLS or at a club in Turkey. Scotland, at Celtic and Rangers would literally end him. He's also picked up a bad reputation as a whinger and a flake now too.

Some terrible decisions from his camp, and despite the fact he's done one over on Leeds, my blame firmly rests at the feet of Jessie Marsch.

He's worse than Kepa ever was at his absolute worst. 17 goals against in 8 games is it?

I don't know about that. Kepa coming on as a shootout specialist in the 120 minute of the Carabo Cup final only to go 0-11 on saves and then miss the decisive kick is statistically impossible to beat in terms of failure rate.

Man Utd produced one of the worst pro goalkeepers of all time in Paul Rachubka - he was a genuine clown.

Scum have a pretty stacked history in comedy keeper terms

I wasn’t particularly impressed by Onana at Internazionale last season.

He had a number of very good performances in the Champions League (particularly in last 16 home match versus Porto). However, more generally, he didn’t promote confidence and he always appeared to have a “mistake” ready and waiting. I was surprised by the demand for him over the summer. Interesting to see how it works out.

Internazionale 1 Benfica 0 last night. Lautaro Martinez didn’t score but, in the second half, he hit the cross bar, hit the post, had a shot cleared off the line by a defender after rounding the and also forced the keeper into two impressive saves. Benfica looked a weak side, esp. in the second half. Fully expect both Inter and Real Sociedad to qualify from the group.

The best thing about it was how much of a team result it was (as usual).

- three goals by players who predate the Saudi takeover (Almiron, Longstaff, Schar)

- two goals by born & bred Geordies (Burn & Longstaff)

- finished the match with FOUR Geordies on the pitch (Burn, Longstaff, Anderson, Murphy)

- and a Man of the Match performance by Jamal Lascalles, our former captain who was consigned to the bench with the signing of Botman, has barely played the past year, and who yet was able to step up and shut down Mbappe.

I think ManU has terrible defenders at the moment. Every counterattack is a problem for them.

Longstaff is the only one that pre-dates Premier League football and money, and he came through your youth set-up - but even he is in his 7th year of Premier League football.

You are looking at this all the wrong way. You've not bought any mega-stars since the Saudi take-over - that's the impressive bit, not that you're winning games with Premier League players.

Dan Burn is the biggest success story in your squad, and he's from the North East!

If he was going to be the 5th, I think that is a pretty big vote of confidence in what would surely be the biggest pressure situation he could ever face.

Today, right here, right now, who would you rather have in your side, Kylian Mbappe or Lautaro? 2~3 years ago it would have been Mbappe without question, but today, I think it would have to be Lautaro without question. I know the talk these days is all Haaland and the next crop of rising stars, like Sidney Raebiger (I had to throw that one in for YayNJ), but I think Lautaro is making a case to be right in the conversation with Mbappe and Haaland, especially given that Haapand will most likely never have any real success internationally (although with Odegaard, there is certainly a great base to build on).

Looking forward to the Champions League matches later this week. Lets hope Inter and Lautaro can pull it together and come away with a win.

Regards
You're not serious about this, right?

Mbappe is playing his 8th or 9th season in Ligue 1 right now. Nobody really knows what he is still doing there.

I know I take the piss out of them relentlessly, but WTF is going on at Chelsea.

Legit down there now with the relegation candidates. Once you're down in that mud, it's a hard place to free yourself from once your morale goes.

- edit - they equalised literally as I clicked post

Trying to win champions league and making more money than you would in a 100 lifetimes combined. Might not be my choice but I could understand it.

He's tried to leave a number of times. Or so he says.

Just angling for more cash living the easy life in Paris with next to no challenge.
