I think if the defender pushes him, no call. But the defender put his shoulder down and blasted Barkley off his feet.

The optics on those calls matter. And the sound on the field. Barkley was blasted. That made the ref toss the flag IMO.

Exactly, if he decelerated like Barkley and just pushed, no call. He locked and loaded while out of bounds.

Mahomes and Chiefs get a ton of bogus calls but for you to be serious about it being a penalty when the hit and Saquan's foot coming down at the same time is ridiculous.

It wasn't 3 or 4 steps. It was literally simultaneously.
