Pulled this one myself, looks like it will be staying in the PC.

It's going to replace this one:

Funny stuff Deathy, even funnier Dave, great job of trying to keep the riff raff out of our grown up conversation. Today was a good day, Mike (Moyni) was gracious enough to invite me over to his casa to talk baseball, peruse each other's HOF cards and meet his beautiful family. He must not be familiar with my BO reputation. In any event, I had a great time, saw some absolutely fantastic baseball history and made my first baseball card trade and in person sale since I was 11 years old. For those trying to do the math, it is a lot of years, I'm old.

My collection did not measure up to Mike's in any way, shape or form. In fact, I was afraid that he was going to slam the door in my face after seeing me show up with my entire, huge, enormous and substantial HOF PC. He was so blown away that he exclaimed "just two shoe boxes"? Sadly sir, yes, just two shoe boxes, that is it in it's full splendor and glory, all 125 ish HOF cards that I can claim in my net worth.

It didn't take me long to realize why he was so underwhelmed. Let's just say that Cooperstown Jr would be a fitting new nickname for Mr Moynihan, very impressive indeed. If you can't be impressed with the collection he has assembled, you aren't a true baseball fan.

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with my decision to start collecting HOF autos. The 4 1/2 hour conversation and show and tell we had just reinforced that x100. Mike, thank you for finding me worthy of visiting your home, meeting your family and viewing your collection. I truly am honored.

Yes, ladies, Gentleman and Death2redemptions, as usual I can be counted on to provide a wall of text. Now the fun part, my new PC addition thanks to Moyni;

On the way home I had to stop at Wal Mart to get something for my daughter. While checking out, I saw the usual display of Magic and Pokemon but there was one solitary baseball product, a hangar of Heritage. After a day of HOF talk, it seemed like a good omen, so I bought it. Not much of note but this was inside. Mike, hopefully I'll get this signed IP at a game this year and it will be the start of my manager HOF auto PC.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, this was in the hangar pack too.

I told you it was a good day.

Awesome card! Moyni must be good luck, I would continue to see him and make sure to buy some wax when you do.

That is fantastic. I hate that I missed Topps Sterling because I was out of the hobby. Such a beautiful product. It needs to come back.

Thank Jm and yes Sterling had some amazing hits in its first couple years. When they got away from on card is when it stared to die.

Thanks Jarod for the kind words. I am glad you had a good time. I also had a blast hanging with you today and talking cards all afternoon with you. It is great to share my collection with people who share my passion beyond just a posting on a website.

That is an absolute crazy pull from one hanger pack of Heritage. You luck SOB. A Bill Terry and Koufax autos in one day!! Too unreal.

Meh, not a ton of good Catfish stuff out there. This is actually one of the better ones but is almost guaranteed to be a place holder. For $12.50 there isn't really any downside though. After getting it slabbed, I may even make a few bucks on it when I find a better one.

So true. I'm not crazy about my Catfish either. But eh, at least I have him.

Mailday today. I am working on game-used HOFer cards. If I am going to buy a game-used card it might as well have an auto on it too...right?

Unofficially it sold yesterday but buyer said he can't pay until Friday. Not holding my breath that's for sure. I really hate Ebay.

I'm not a Heritage guy but don't fret, I already have a VERY nice Koufax. As soon as I take my next COMC order, I'll be showing it off here. This one here is doing honorable duty, financing other cards for my PC and after yesterday's 5x promotion, there are a couple of nice ones. Hopefully it gets paid for. I do hate redeeming that is true but I hate selling redemptions more, too many ways to get burned. I'm going against my gut on this one.
