Not sure. Everytime people assume with Ohtani they look like clowns, so will be curious about the post-game commentary.

Yes, that was painful to watch. Some games Ohtani has to fight through the first to get in a rhythm, this was one of those nights. He knew the whole world was looking at him, and yes this shows he is human. The umps calls didn't help, so he never gets a chance to come back in the second and start blowing Yankees away.

I'm pretty sad about the early hook but Ohtani is trying to do something that hasn't been done in the modern game, so growing pains are expected. What I love about him is failure does not deter Shohei. Neither do naysayers that tell him to pick one or the other.

Those naysayers will be back in droves after this outing. All the pundits will scream "seeeeee I told you! He should just stick to hitting, he has the MLB lead in HRs!"

To which both Shohei and those that believe in him just smile and shake their heads. That's not enough, this man wants to his core to do both at an extremely high level and he will continue working to that end.

Fail forward Shohei, as you have proven to be so glorious at. Keep going, we believe.

If you need a PSA 10 on a budget I might look at the horizontal flagship factory set variation. Seems underpriced to me.
