It's a testament to how high he's set the bar for himself that despite him hitting only .230 the past month he's still posted a .970 OPS. Helps a little when literally half your hits are HRs. Lol

Not sure if anyone's been following my saga in the Grading forum, but upon further inspection of the slab, I saw it had all kinds of scratches on either the inside of the plastic case or on the plastic inner sleeve they put the card in. I reached out to Beckett and they agreed that the slab was in unacceptable condition and gave me the option to send it back to them to reslab on their dime. I took them up on their offer, so hopefully this is the last time it's out of my possession for a long time!

Looks pretty precautionary. Lost feel with it being the first time he's pitched into the 4th and it's hot/humid.

Wasn't as bad as the line suggests. Freeland missed a reasonable play that went for a hit (and run) and he took Banda's BB for the mid batter pitcher change. Better days ahead.
