Miz has used the IC Title as a prop for yrs and hasn't elevated it at all, if anything he brings it down. The guy needs to be pushed lower in the card not into the main events.

Miz doesn't use the title as a prop, they make it a prop. He had elevated that title on Smackdown, he really had. They never had him defend it on RAW, how is it his fault?

To each their own and you clearly don't like the Miz which is fine since he's not everybody's cup of tea. But I strongly disagree with this. He's definitely elevated the intercontinental championship. He's the first guy in a LONG time that didn't just have the belt as a prop and actually seemed to be honored to hold it and talk about the prestige of having it. Honestly, I keep forgetting that Reigns even has the belt right now since it's never spotlighted.

I'm a huge Miz fan but I do agree that I don't think he's quite main event material though, my biggest issue with the Miz is that he's NEVER allowed to win cleanly, all of his lackeys never accomplish anything besides cheating for him to win (they always lose their own matches and hardly ever even look decent doing so) and I get bored seeing the same endings over and over again. I don't want a champion who only wins by cheating, that was my biggest issue with KO's run too, he's WAY better than that.

With that said though, Miz's promo on Daniel Bryan alone did more for the intercontinental belt than almost any wrestler has in years IMO.

He's never liked Miz, some don't. He's terrific though, he almost single handed made his feud with Cena last year mean something by consistent great promos. He's been able to reinvent himself in an era where Wrestlers have little to no character and never change it up.

The IC Title is a prop for Miz. Just like Maryse was. He didnt elevate it when he had it on SD, him saying it doesn't make it true. He has to make it mean something during his matches, which he can't because he just isnt good enough in the ring. And if anyone made the Cena/Miz feud last yr it was Cena when he destroyed Miz on the mic everytime they had a one on one promo faceoff.

And how has he reinvented himself?! He's been the same character for the last 7+ yrs or more. He's not changed his character only his look. He's the same "look at me Im from hollywood and a big star" character that he has always been. He's been exposed as nothing more than a midcard talent, he bombed in the main events and I dont think Vince is ever trusting him in that spot again.

We know you hate Miz, nothing you say is without a huge bias. To judge his run as WWE champion is absurd. He was put in a feud with JERRY LAWLER, then was background fodder for Rock/Cena's feud. He was then buried in his I-quit match with Cena soon after. It's a miracle he recovered from that.

Yeah Miz now compared to when he was champion is a world of difference and not a fair comparison at all. From everything I've read, Vince is actually a huge fan of Miz, he's done everything that's been asked of him, does TONS of special events (either for charity, signings, radio shows etc. etc.) and doesn't get injured.

Miz made the Cena feud work mainly because of his hilarious Diva skits. Cena did kill him in the face to face promo but even then I get the feeling he was told to let that happen since it was supposed to end up being Cena and Nikki's night and Miz is a great soldier that does what Vince asks.

Yeah i saw all of that. I'm skeptical but the way he comes off I could see it being true. I hope not but time will tell.

To side track this back to wrestling, the WWE should take all the cruiserweights and do their own Rumble for the title this Sunday.
Get the title off Enzo and let the cruiserweights have some time to shine...
Nobody takes them as serious contenders in the "big one" so take them all out and let them do their thing by themselves...

Well we know you love Miz so nothing YOU say is without huge bias. He had to wrestle Lawler because at least Miz would then look like the better guy in the feud, because no one else on the roster would he have looked believable against. Again he was buried in that match because a Cena/Miz one on one match was so ridiculous. They learned that after the forgettable Mania match, so it was a 2 on 1. (That was the one where Riley wrestled too right?)

So after all that they settled him into the midcard where he should stay.

They made him look like a clown against Lawler, save it. You don't book a guy like they did with him (they tried the same crap with CM Punk) and then act surprised why people are rejecting it.
