#2 in QBR, nearly #1. Period. You can try to make whatever excuses you want but it doesn't change those rankings. Notice how everyone in this thread is constantly trying to make excuses for why Purdy's hard numbers don't mean anything. "Yea he's #2 in QBR BUT". "He's #1 in YPA BUT". "He's #2 in passer rating BUT". Only one side of this argument is trying to talk around the facts

Why don’t you post some QBR leaders prior to 2020?

Tannehill, Ryan, Rivers, Romo, Wilson, Alex Smith, etc … etc … good QBs but not highly regarded ..

Alex Smith? You got the right sport buddy? Alex Smith never sniffed the top 5 and had a horrendous QBR for most of his career. You should probably head back to the Basketball forum

And why do people keep bringing up guys nowhere near #1? Purdy is #2 and 0.4 off #1 right now. The last 4 years all the guys in the top 3 each season were the best QBs of our generation. I don't want to hear about anyone else lower than that. Purdy is at the top of the mountain

If Purdy doesn't show some semblance to his...."pre, 3 game, losing skid", ways/days (regardless of the health/strength of his supporting cast).....his cards will undoubtedly stand to be the figurative-equivalent of The Titanic!! Hopefully, he's "good", but if he isn't, I'll tell you, this much; I'll personally be bailing-out, quicker than Mrs. Madeline Astor!

Reminded me of Brett Favre, kind of. Pretty risky throw. He has great rapport with Aiyuk, though, so he must have had confidence he'd catch it.
