I really hope he isn’t an educator. I think the amount of inaccuracies he writes in this thread and tries to pass it off as fact is the true threat to education. Unfortunately unions will protect his ***.

I’m just checking to see if we’re ok with it now or if it’s still a bad thing.

Either every one speaks freely without consequences or no one does. Which would you pick?

That is the extent what he says. The guy is a fool. His base vote on his racist rhetoric, his wisecracks, and stupid nicknames he gives his opponents. That's a clown POTUS, bro.

My guess would be a community or liberal arts college, thought I wouldn’t be surprised if his job had nothing to do with psychology or education.

Unless he’s lying through his teeth, no one worth their salt in higher education would be doing a “case study on republican cognitive dissonance in the age of Trump”. His whole spiel just feels like a forced facade.

Oh I don’t disagree with any of your statements lol. The sad part is a second grader had one of the most unexpected victories. That should tell us how divided we are. Hopefully one day I will be part of a country where we are unified

I’ve already stated I’m conducting a study in Republican cognitive dissonance.

Why are blacks more vulnerable to the disease, you ask? The answer is right there.

The decades-long process of shredding the nation’s social safety net forced millions of essential workers in low-paying jobs to risk their life for their livelihood.
Republican cognitive dissonance relating to what?

What's it feel like to support candidates that can't even beat another candidate with the vocabulary of a second grader?

At what point in time do you think our country was best unified and how do we get back to that point.

It's bad, so are chemical weapons.

In WWI, should Germany's enemies have just sat back and let the Germans solely use chemical weapons? Would the Germans have stopped using them if their enemy simply complained that they were effective at killing?

Shortly after 911.
Other than another attack I have no idea how to get back there. I just don't think either party has anybody that can unite us.
And yes, that's sad.

That was my answer. Unfortunately I was one at that time so I have never witnessed a unified country

Although I do agree 9/11 was probably the most unified I also think 1980 after the hockey team beat the Russians and then went on to win the gold that was probably the last time America was a prideful country, not necessarily unified but proud, and socialism wasn’t on every professors teaching agenda.

This plays out on both sides of the political aisle, but to a greater extent than ever with the Republican party during Trumps presidency. In attempting to dismiss the entirety of the "mainstream media," Trump has ironically pointed his voting base in the direction of literal fake news and hearsay evidence as justification for their political allegiance. Moderate Republicans, by continually not righting the misinformed beliefs of staunch Trump supporters, are inadvertently perpetuating the delegitimization of their own party's core beliefs.

Liberals still don't understand why they lost.

1) Controlling Immigration
2) Anti-Corruption
3) America First (anti-globalism)

I genuinely thought in the beginning Covid was going to be the first 9/11 that I’d witness in a sense of unity but it’s that’s farthest from the truth. I came home from college hoping to do my part stocking shelves at my local grocery store so people who were covid vulnerable would be safe. When I came back I was surprised to see the lack of youth trying to help the vulnerable. Instead collecting unemployment was easier and apparently it’s too much to ask to wear a mask. Covid is such a bad time and rather handling it like we did with 9/11 we decided to make it all political.

Since when did most liberals care more about facts and data then emotions and feelings? Aren't liberals the ones that need safe spaces, trigger warnings, deplatforming and cance culture to protect them from scary or dangerous words and ideas?
