Outside of Finest refractors and E-Motion N-Tense, I honestly think the #GH5 was one the nicest cards out of anything from 94-95. Here’s a comparison shot of the same foil design on the Atomic and a clip of just how gorgeous the GH5 is. Everyone needs this card in their collection.

Nothing crazy but found this Jordan /1000 loose while going through childhood boxes, no sleeve or top loader. Luckily it wasnt insanely beat up… stupid younger me.

Aw yiss. Please excuse mine’s condition/bottom left corner that’s literally popping up. Same copy I’ve had since ‘94. I’m assuming these still go for like 2 bucks raw.

I think this might be my favorite thread on the forum. So many cool cards and players from when I was growing up and loving the NBA and cards back in the day. Shout to the Matt24 with that amazing Paul Pierce Atomic Refractor rookie PSA 10, that has to be a top 3 Pierce rookie, maybe even higher, I love atomics.

Don’t worry about the condition. You pulled it. It’s awesome. They are still very inexpensive. I doubt I could get $30 for mine but it doesn’t matter. It’s a beautiful card. I love looking at it. Your video shows it off perfectly.

Oh I don’t actually give an etched holofoil’s a$$. It’s a miracle only 1 corner is busted up despite taking it in and out of a nine pocket a thousand times. And this was before kids were even combining penny sleeves with binder pages. You buy yours already graded?

No, about a year before the PSA shutdown I sent several large bulk orders. In total about 600-700 cards from boxes just sitting around. I picked out all the cards that I loved first (not necessarily money cards) and they ended up all being low end cards that don’t get much hobby love.

Super powers flies under the radar especially for a playing day insert.

Where does everyone rate the gold version? What other inserts would you guys rate it against?

Nice. The player cut out and text is super glossy and susceptible to scratching and that upper layer can be a beotch.

I love the design and the action shot, it’s a super nice card. The problem with 1999-00 Jordan cards is there are about a million of them. Upper Deck spat them out like nobody’s business.

The Quantum Super Powers is from the 98/99 set.

I know the gold is highly coveted but trying to get a gauge of comparable desirability. The gold set is /50.

How do we rate is vs say 1996 Gold Refractor or 1997 Finest refractor /289?

Yea you’re right. Point still stands to me though as that’s when the mj dump started. I don’t think they’re in the same class as either card you mention despite the lower run.
