Little steep but it is a signed LP of Father John Misty for $35 at Newbury. Limit 5. It says these are limited to 1500 as well but not clear if that's the number of signed editions or the exclusive release from newbury or if they are all signed since I can't find an unsigned version on their site.

Alan Moore with signed bookplate at Blackwell's for $22.62 and somehow that includes shipping to the states ... I knew the pound was weak but not that weak. Edit note that his autographs might just be the M with swirl.

If you missed Hanks, his signed book is at Indigo Chapters for $45. Also looks like they still have the Emilia Clarke for $32.50.

Thanks! Just ordered one of the Hanks. Hopefully I actually get this one from Indigo.

Just a word of warning (praise?) I already got shipment on the two I ordered from here ... little afraid at how quick that was even though it clearly says "Bookplate Signed by the Author" on the page.

I thought I'd add something I found a couple of weeks ago at my local used bookstore (Half Price Books).

There was a used copy of Tegan and Sara's memoir, High School, with a signed bookplate inside, for $10 in the clearance section. I didn't see it mentioned here in the thread, but I finished reading it yesterday and I think it was well worth it. They've got a new album coming out soon, and an autobiographical show was also produced based on the memoir.

Can you elaborate why you appear concerned? Wouldn't Alan have already signed the bookplates in advance, as opposed to him signing the books themselves which he would have wait on them after they were printed, etc? Since Alan doesn't make convention appearances in the USA and by all accounts never will and his disdain for comics nowadays I think the likelihood of me getting one of my copies of Batman The Killing Joke signed is less than winning the PowerBall. That was one of my all-time favorite Batman stories and I was thinking about framing and matting one of my copies next to the signed bookplate.

When I preordered 3 from B&N, they were available for way too long.

You yourself say getting this guy to sign something is about as lucky as pulling a superfractor.

My fear is I ordered a book that says signed and they shipped me an unsigned book with the intent of including a bookplate or sending me a bookplate later? Idk, feels odd considering the book releases tomorrow? So if he pre-signed bookplates all I can hope for is that someone grabbed them off the stack and put them inside the book (this happened with my jim carey autograph) and then put it in the box to me. I mean, it takes a while to affix bookplates, right? Idk, just letting people know I'm nervous about this one.

Then again, I was nervous/skeptical about the Emilia Clarkes and people are simming in those so ... idk.

I agree, getting something signed by Moore is generally tough but I think sometimes you manage to by at the right place at the right time per say so while these are available on that site mentioned, I suspect they will sell out once more people know about it. I don't know how many they have available naturally but it sounds like the bookplates were probably signed in advance, tipped into each copy and Blackwells is offering the allocation up so you should get the bookplate with the book. I will admit that price shipped to the USA is very low, so I grabbed a copy just now myself. I am unsure if the bookplate is affixed or if it's simply tipped in the front of the book, perhaps allowing fans to affix it themselves or having it be loose. We should know more soon though....

Coles Books wants £20 and *£30* US delivery per book for comparison ... makes me afraid that Blackwells thinks I just wanted the book sans autograph. DHL claims I'll get the blackwells books on Oct 14th but, again, how?

There is a chance that perhaps they have a small USA presence for shipping to those here which is why shipping is included. Unsure, but I will agree, shipping from the UK to the USA isn't cheap and at that price, it seems like a major steal of a deal. I sent you a PM directly as well.

The few i have seen online just looked like an attached bookplate with the "M" symbol/sig he uses. I think Waterstones and Goldsboro both had theirs with gold sprayed edges as well. Goldsboro listed that they had 1k of those (sold out now). I live in the US and have ordered signed books from Blackwell's a few times and never had any issues. They ship these from a location in the US which is why they can do free shipping as media mail is only a few bucks for a book.

If you really want them, check each morning. If you're based in the states, I don't think you can buy the international versions anyway.

I will try to monitor them and post them here if people are still trying to land them. They've gone on sale at those links twice before but sold out pretty much instantly.

I almost pulled the trigger on the mahogany but passed. After shipping and taxes it was $49 for one album for me, FYI.
