like someone said, an artist can make an ez million $ doing autos in small #s and relatively reasonable prices. don't try to make 5-10 mill off fans on this run and do crazy editions at crazy prices.
Some are being reasonable with #s and prices, and to the others, they, im sure they're not sure how to maximize the opportunity and hopefully will adjust going fwd. even if fans arent resellers, they feel wayy better about dropping 500$ on an auto knowing it's value if they decide to get rid of it is at least that if not more. |

Clothes in the 1990's were disrespectful to anyone who had to look at them

I like Mo having the fanny pack. Its totally 90s, plays into the absurdity of those bowman releases and adds another layer of easter eggs to these cards/paintings.

Vides is terrible, as he just puting a glorified sharpie to the original card
oldmanalan is simply using getty images of the player during the time period of the cards release and using whatever "border" he wants to, even using 1991 fleer once lol

I'm bothered more by the fingers on Mo's right hand than the fanny pack.

And if any of the artists see this that have yet to do Griffey, someone really needs to have him with his hat on backwards.

Person: Why did you give Rivera a paint-splattered fanny pack in your version of his card?
Jamieson: Product placement. I sold those to my podcast followers earlier in the project. |

Look I tend to like his work and I enjoy the interaction he has with fans via his youtube channel, etc. but Blake Jamieson is jumping the shark.
From the Gary V/hype fiasco that contributed to the crash, to the unnecessary Baller/Trout combo, to the thousand autograph Trout/Baller cards that he is charging crazy prices for, to now painting damn fanny packs on the only unanimous hall of famer ever- it all seems like too much. He needs to get back to basics and be creative (like the inverse Mattingly) instead of being corny (like the Rivera). |

Coming from someone who doesn’t understand the fervor over USA McGwire, this is Blake’s best work. The fanny isn’t just a him thing, it’s a 92 Bowman play. It’s a Rock play. This Thiele is possibly #400/400 for me. Just doesn’t work for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I guess if I had no interest in the artist (or the art) I'd save a ton of money and just buy random Topps base cards. |

The fanny fits on this subject only. It only works because of 92 Bowmans idiocy. Not another card that this works on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Like nearly every other card, my first reaction to today's (and yeserday's for that matter) were underwhelming. But given time, I get more comfortable with the images. Don't really understand them 100%, but more comfortable nonetheless. Still haven't decided whether to get any of these.

This could be a rare opportunity for these artists to make a lot of money and it they are just playing into collectors own issues with OCD and rarity. In general anything autographed we have been told is worth more so why shouldn't they capitalize?
