I'll be checking the 1999 Finest Refractor Sanders very closely. I've submitted over 100 1999 Finest cards and only 5 times I've had a centering subgrade of 9. Everything* else was a 9.5 or 10. ![]() *okay, one, ONE, other time I got a 7.5 on centering on a '99 Finest card but that was totally my fault for overlooking the back of that card on a larger order. |

2 Cards graded
Standard 20 - 25 Business Days Received: 9/29/2024 Graded: 10/10/2024 And that's it. No labels status, no population report update. Sent an email last week and no response. Will be using PSA going forward. Edit: Labels: 11/25/2024 Shipped: 11/26/2024 Grand total of 38 business days on a service with a high estimate of 25 days. Took 30 business days after grading to encase and ship what ended up being just one card. One of the two cards was a banned MTG card that PSA won't grade, which is only reason I sent it to Beckett. It was available to select in their drop down but they gave it a grade 0 and refunded me. Looking at the population report they haven't graded the card since 2022. Would just have been nice to know that beforehand. If they don't grade the card, you shouldn't be able to select it. Last edited by VicVinegar; 11-26-2024 at 07:56 PM. |

What in the world has happened to BGS's shipping department the last few months? I just praised them a few posts ago on this thread about how much the grading time has improved (and this part is still true). But since then, my last order sat in the "graded - awaiting shipping" stage for about a week and a half. Not a huge deal, this stage had always taken less than 48 hours in the past so thought this order was just a minor fluke. Now, my most recent order has been in that same stage for over 2 weeks.
This basically erases all the positive progress they've made on turnaround time. There's really no difference between your order getting graded in 2 weeks and then taking 2 weeks to ship compared to taking a month to get graded but then shipping the same day. |

I guess I lucked out on the turnaround time.
Submission size: 1 (oversized, booklet, auto) Shipped: 10/24/24 Arrived: 10/30/24 (due to unspecified delay on carrier's part on what was supposed to be a 2 Day AM delivery, but UPS is a mess the same week they appeared to have delivered $7k of wax to the wrong address only to find it after 2 weeks at the local UPS store, and instead of delivering it they returned it. Fedex and USPS are frequently late and USPS's tracking melted down here but packages manage to arrive, at least) Graded: 11/04/24 Return shipped: 11/12/24 Delivered: 11/14/24 Grade: 8.5 Centering: 9.5 Corners: 8.5 Edges: 8.5 Surface: 9.0 Autographs: 10 From the whole series that year a total of 5 graded copies exist and the highest is BGS 9, 3 of the 5 are Vlad/Roborto Alomar, for some reason, and first graded since August 2021. I think it turned out all right fwiw

New to grading with BGS here. Do they have a "pizza tracker" like PSA does to check the status, or do I just need to click on this "Job ID" link that takes me to the Job Details and Card Listing info?

Order Type: BAS Standard w/Card Grading/Auto Grading/LOA Advertised time 45 days
# of cards: 1 Order delivered per UPS: 9/25/24 Order received: 9/26/24 Went this route because it is a 1/1 and confirmed to be the athleteÂ’s first autograph card to hit the streets. Other companies are marked 2022, but didnÂ’t hit the market til late 2023. Just wanted the auto grade as well with the card grade. Also will be interested in seeing this cardÂ’s grade because it was encapsulated when it came from the card company. At 34 business days now if I donÂ’t count the received day and the two federal holidays. 36 if I count the holidays. |

Still crazy the BGS takes two months when they get so little submissions.

A sign of a very dysfunctional, poorly run company. From an operations perspective, their hands are tied due to terrible upper management/ownership (who most likely is headed to jail for money laundering). One can only hope BGS gets bought out by an entity who is serious about rebuilding this company up. Competition against PSA would benefit end users/submitters.

Trying to make sense of my first direct grading experience with BGS.
# of cards: 1 Dropped off to BGS in Plano: 11/12 Order invoiced email: 11/13 Verification complete email: 11/14 Grading complete email: 11/21 It then went to "Labels" and has sat there since then. I paid for a 7-10 day service and it has now been 15-16 business days depending on if you count the day after Thanksgiving. Is this typical of their grading process? What is the next step? I would like to pick the card up at their facility when the time finally comes. How do I communicate that with them? |

Well, it took them a month to respond to a simple email.
My guess is that there is only like one employee at Beckett doing literally everything these days (only slight exaggerating here). |

Last Update 1/9/25
Order Type: BAS Standard # of cards: 3 Order received: 11/25/24 Invoice email: 11/27/24 Card Charged: 11/28/24 Cards Verified Email: 12/4/24 Graded: 1/6/25 Grades Available: 1/6/25 Shipped: 1/8/25 Received: 1/9/25 Current Order Status: Complete I'm surprised it's taking this long to get into the grading queue. I honestly haven't seen a status of Active before. Everything has always moved straight into grading. Anyone else seen this status sit for a month or so? 1/6/25 - Once grades available, wrong labeled identified on one of the cards. Emailed BGS to confirm Last edited by HolyShnikesCard; 01-09-2025 at 12:28 PM. |

Kind of interesting to me, both orders are 12 card orders. The first was 25% off grading fees, the second 10% off grading fees plus free return shipping. Both base grading (/w subgrades). Less than $2 difference between the order 1 and order 2 in my particular case. |

Order delivered by USPS on 12/30/24. Order still not received in as of today. Is this typically normal for BGS to take this long to mark order received?
