PSA Cert #42313851

1953 Parkhurst Dickie Moore PHOTO IS JEAN BELIVEAU #28 Population 1 of 6 - None Graded Higher

Value gain of $815.20

This card was purchased by whitman111 (Gary Moser) from PWCC as a PSA-6 on August 27, 2018 for $36.80. PWCC Marketplace link: https://www.pwccmarketplace.com/items/1731238
Same card was sold by PWCC as a PSA-9 for $888.00 on March 25, 2019. PWCC Marketplace link: https://www.pwccmarketplace.com/items/1934583

Yellow circles are print and fiber identifiers.
Red squares identify blatantly obvious trimming.

SGC Cert #5057441

1986 Fleer Michael Jordan RC #57

Value gain of $1,113.10

This card was purchased by whitman111 (Gary Moser) from PWCC as a PSA-AUTHENTIC on August 22, 2018 for $1313.00. PWCC Marketplace link: https://www.pwccmarketplace.com/items/1727363
Same card was sold by PWCC as a SGC-8.5 for $2426.10 on May 30, 2019. PWCC Marketplace link: https://www.pwccmarketplace.com/items/1983135

Note from the PSA-AUTHENTIC listing description: "The left two corners have been pressed a bit and the overall technical conditoin (sp) is not terribly high, but the card is authentic and unaltered according to PSA."

Yellow circles are print and fiber identifiers. The yellow square identifies a powder streak which occurs during the printing of the back side of the C1S card stock. Spray powder is used during the printing process to help prevent offsetting as the sheets stack up in the delivery. When the sheets are backed up, the fine spray powder that was applied during the first pass gets agitated by the feedboard brush wheels and the accumulation of the agitation will build up on the printing blanket causing powder streaks. The printing blankets need to be washed more often on the back up pass to prevent the powder from affecting the print. I have seen many of the cards graded as 9's and 10's with these visible powder streaks.
Red squares identify corner work as noted in the PSA listing description above.

Regarding the Jordan Fleers, every one of those cards are traceable do to the C1S stock used to print them with. On the back side, most of the printing was done using screened dots. When screened "blocks" are printing on uncoated stock, it never lays down smooth like coated stock. The paper substrate, when looked at with a loupe, has peaks and valleys that make the screened image lay down with differing pressure. The waves, ripples, dark/light effects are caused by these peaks and valleys. If you look at the entirety of the back of the Jordan posted above you can see much more of this effect than what I circled.

With a lot of time, many of the 10's can be traced back to 9's or 8's. Once you match the back you can then look at the front to see what changed. Looking at the buyers of the 9's on VCP, there is one buyer that purchased four consecutive PSA-9s from PWCC late last year (not Moser). I doubt he is collecting 9s for an investment.

Figure out Robert Block's VCP code and start digging into the 8s. In fact, I can probably find and send you his code in a moment if you want.

given the price jump between 9 & 10 Jordans, im not saying theres no conserving going on, but if those 9s that sold LOOK nice, it may be worth "the roll"

kind of like Rickey 9's vs 10's

IF you start busting Jordan rookies that is going to rattle some serious cages. Jesus.

It was late 2018, not last year. Same buyer, all from PWCC:

82 PSA 8s to parse:

Some might be other m***b accounts, but I doubt it.

Match those with BGS 9.5s and BGS 9s and we'll have a massive basketball thread.

He was buying like every other one of these in some grades from 2013-15. Remember, 14k buyer feedback (just in left items) since 2009.

Well, that’s hard to say. Probably some going to PSA as well, but it’s possible they are all going to BGS.

It would be a full time job for months just to track the '86 Jordans.

It is tedious x10 work.

In those days (2013-2015), it would probably be an even split between Probstein and PWCC. Some sold himself maybe too.

Oh, and someone should ask breakersrowe where they got this Jordan 9.5:

https://www.sportscardsplussa.com/20...et-to.html?m=1

Just a coincidence that all the other 9.5 Jordans in that sub sold via PWCC except that one?
