Talk about a card that has shot up. One sold for $400 after his second start I believe. I’m like you that I think it could hit 700 based on the recent raw. Still blows my mind that I bought mine for $43 last year.

Agree. It will easily be $150+ card if the things you mention happen. Kinda a big if though.

In Topps? Or in general?

Why would 2016 Bowman Chrome not count? Honest question as I don't follow all the baseball brands

Interesting to say the least. I sold a ten card lot and they all had the spot. Every single one on COMC has the spot. So the current non-spot one would be the harder to find.

What do people think of the 2016 BC Refractors? Kind of a unique situation with his BC Auto being in a different year. They're going for about 30. I'm trying throw my money at Bieber stuff fast but there's not many of my target cards being auctioned at the moment.

My buying/selling goals lately have been focused on Bowman until the rookie logo comes out. However, $30 for a first year refractor of someone actually performing seems cheap. If you check COMC of all the recent top 100 prospects called up to the bigs - they’re all in the $20-$30 range. If Bieber is only $30 AND he’s fully delivering, I think it’s a good value.

What are the thoughts on the longevity here of Bieber in the hobby? Seems like his PSA prices are out of hand compared to other pitchers in the game. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong pitchers too.

The PSA prices are the result of a super low population because no one submitted his base for grading. A ton of supply will come online in a couple of months. Pitchers are never going to be worth anywhere close to top hitter prices but Bieber will go up if he finishes the season like this, peak in spring training, and then fall a bit if he's not putting up Cy Young numbers again next year. For pitchers with prices at this level I really think they need get at least the 1 Cy and stay near the very top.

I'm all in on everything I can find of his for the forseeable future because he looks to me to be well in another stratosphere of elite beyond any pitcher in the game right now and the Cy is will be much easier for him than it would be if he was in the NL. I think performance wise he is extremely low risk. I'm not buying graded or base but everything inbetween
