I'm just confused as to why Panini is doing these packs this way. Surely they could make more money AND get more people involved in their new platform if they did something like...

2020-21 Panini Prizm NFT
$25 a pack
3 cards per pack, 2 base and 1 parallel

Base is /2000
Parallels range from like /500 to /1

'Print' like 500,000+ packs and call it a day. Release other sets this same exact way.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills over here...

This is their beta test and they manually distribute cards. This is not to make money, just to test the system. The real pack drops are soon and plentiful.

A big reason they are not doing it that way could be because of how worthless almost every card numbered /100 or more would be right now. Go look at some recent sales or the sales history of big cards listed. Trae Young 1/1 Nike Swoosh auto just sold for $1,000. Aaron Rodgers Flawless NFL shield auto 1/1 just sold for $1,000. If those are $1,000 is a Harrison Barnes /2000 base even worth $1? My guess is they are trying to jump the market before coming out with cards /100 or more. It is kinda being proven that it doesn't matter with how those /3 Prizm cards are right now. It's just the perceived value that matters. It makes no sense what some of these /3 red mosaic prizm cards are selling for compared to Blockchain sales this entire year.

If you think that the market is going to jump big for Blockchain there are countless cards over the last 1 year plus and still now they can buy for under 10% of what their value will be at the end of the year. You would be betting what happened with Top Shot earlier this year happens with Blockchain. Basically artificially moved up by everyone trying to only make money and no one cares about collecting them. Which for sure can happen since it's been shown it already has happened in a similar situation.

The Panini Blockchain system has been in place for give or take 17 months. On the cards listed you can see the sales history. It's not like I'm making this up. However you can't see every card. You can only see cards that are listed.

To my knowledge there have only been 2 $10,000+ sales and they were barely $10,000. Zion Lebron 1/1 NT dual logoman and I forget the other one. Not a single $15,000+ sale. You'd be shocked some of the sub $2,000 sales. Some of those cards the physical card would possibly sell for over 25 times what the digital card did. Whereas Top Shot was the opposite. I remember at one point there was a Kyrie Irving /50 moment that sold for like $40,000. I have a Kyrie Prizm game used 1/1 logoman auto at that time I couldn't sell for $10,000 if I wanted to sell it. That's why I said there is huge upside if you think it will go the way NBA Top Shot did. Cards you could buy for under $2,000 that could be worth over $20,000 by the end of the year. If the equivalent of that Kyrie /50 is selling for 5 figures in Blockchain what is the Zion Lebron dual NT Logoman 1/1 auto gonna be worth?

Well do you mean owning or collecting. There is a big difference. Do some people collect these? Absolutely. But I would say the people that collect Blockchain or Top Shot are about 1-2% of the market. With how prices have gone down on Top Shot collecting has increased from 3 months ago. If prices were the same today collecting would be under 1%. If Blockchain ever skyrockets it won't be because of collectors. It will be because people are manipulating it to make money.

I have a confirmation e-mail. I used my phone. My credit card is authorized, but do not see the pack in my order history. I know it won't be available for a few days, but I assumed it would show up in my blockchain pack order history.

I was able to cart it in about 6 minutes. My place order button did not work and I had to refresh many times. Sometimes I could not enter my payment information. I tried paypal and that did not work.

Eventually I was able to click place order and was brought back to the cart with an error, but then I received the confirmation e-mail. Not sure what to think.

Here is my order number PAN-111377. Not sure if that means anything.

I don’t understand the reason people think these minted digital images are so much different the images printed on a piece cardboard.

Sure the market might be fed by investors at some point and settle down to healthy market.


I enjoy collecting/owning/trading both and enjoy nfts more than I thought

NFT'S are for flippers and made to have collectors holding the bag. I buy packs, sell cards, and repeat. I used to hold and I got sick of the to the moon games. If the market goes crazy for these I will open the red mosaic pack and sell the contents if pack selling isn't available by then. I am only collecting raw vintage right now. NFT'S are a game for me.

You will get the pack. The first drop didn't show up in order history, just got the order confirmation email.

I really don’t get your negativity with Panini Blockchain. Those 2 x 1/1 from A-Rod and Trae we’re good sales, pretty much current market value.

Of course the Prizm Cards (numbered to /3) are now the new shiny thing so people jump on them.

Also what do do you mean with countless other cards? There’re just roughly 20k Panini Blockchain cards populated! You’ve always more than 45k Davis Bertans moments on Topshot!

Based on the Panini blog stating the Green were more rare than the red, I'd guess the order #'s continued from the Red packs.

But will be less and less the longer they wait to allow that option.
Still have some early S2 packs sealed on TS and it looks like no progress has been made to allow them to be sold. Have been tempted to open at least one of them more than once. I have a release 8 and 18 pack.

If this takes off and commons reach $200 and pack selling is not allowed I will open and sell.
