Wrong but nice try.

I'm not listing them now you silly goose. The best time to sell is right before the season starts. Duh

Deshaun gonna make half the league wait on their trades while he tries to decide.

Yeah, they chose to get Julio instead of drafting a receiver.

They're saying whichever teams don't get Deshaun are going after Baker. Hell of a drop. IMO

If the Dirty Birds don't land Watson, do they try and snag a QB in the first round?

I have yet to meet a Browns fan that is in favor of trading for Watson and I’ve talked to a ton today.

Packers WR Randell Cobb took $5 million paycut to stay with team. Packers also did not submit to NFL De'Vondre Campbell's contract making him a FA but saving GB $4.5 million on the cap. These moves got GB under the cap today.

Those are the same people who also think the Browns are "blowing up" a Super Bowl contender because they released JC Tretter, Hollywood Higgins, and Austin Hooper lmao.

I'm a Browns fan who hates other Browns fans. Won't step foot in that stadium because I can't deal with the people. We win ONE playoff game in 20 years and now our GM is being called a clown for trying to get Amari Cooper, Deshaun Watson, and Von Miller. There are no words for this lol.

If I were a Brown’s fan, this is the camp I would be in. I would’ve just upgraded Baker Mayfield for Deshaun Watson and Jarvis Landry for Amari Cooper. Seems like a HUGE upgrade by the GM. Plus, you are to be able to get something for Baker if it’s not part of the trade for Watson

We must run in different circles as none of the fans I’ve talked with think that at all. I love the job Berry has done so far and understand they have quite a few holes to fill to get to where they want to be, WR and QB being two of them. Hooper sucked and Higgins was always a WR4 so no major loss there but yes I think the team will miss Tretter’s leadership but understand the move. But going all-in on a guy like Watson who hasn’t played in 2 years, will probably be suspended for a good chunk of the year, costs 40-50$ million a year and comes with the baggage he comes with… no thanks.

Same
  • Cooper has been almost universally loved (especially when people started seeing the Christian Kirk contract)
  • Everyone is glad Berry passed on Miller after seeing the contract
  • Absolutely no one wants Watson
  • Everyone knew that Tretter and Hooper were gone - people were praying Hooper was gone

The only "divisive" things that Berry has done so far, at least with the guys I talk to, is Landry (although most wanted him cut because of his salary - but everyone loved that guy - We all hoped he'd restructure) and not signing any FA's yet

But everyone wants FA's in the first few days so I'll give Berry a pass that he knows what he's doing to help shore up the DLine etc...

I guess you could add how they've "treated" Baker to the divisive list. Some people think the FO did him dirty and some think Baker needs to get thicker skin as this is a business. They bring up Tua not throwing a fit on social media for an entire year the Dolphins were linked to Watson

All in all I'm totally fine with what Berry has done. He isn't tied to, nor is Stefanski, to Baker... yet apparently every other team gets a pass when they hire a new GM and Coach and they want their own QB. Cleveland isn't allowed to do that

The only thing I don't like that Berry has done is go after Watson. He's an upgrade but he's not the guy you need in Cleveland. I'm fine with the idea of upgrading the QB spot... not with him

I have my doubts about no one wanting Watson in Cleveland over Baker.

Seems like Watson is just dragging this out now. I expect a lot of pieces to fall quickly whenever he makes his decision.

I'm sure there are plenty that do

I have yet to talk to someone that does (or will that admit they do)

But obviously there are people that are willing to put up with him as soon as he starts winning

Not every fan is on the message boards or Twitter

I'm a Browns fan and I want Watson because I want to have a realistic shot at the Lombardi. Do I look past his off the field stuff? absolutely not because it's terrible. But in the NFL, talent and winning games changes peoples tune.

That being said, he's going to sign with NO.

Contingency plan: trade for Derek Carr or Jimmy G.

Outside of that, see ya on the couch in January next year. Tale old as time.

Twitter is blowing up right now that it's the Saints. They are basically begging Watson to waive his clause for them

So we shall see

Seems like the signs are there, with the Saints creating almost $30M in cap space today.
