You are smart. I block nobody. Knowing both sides of every argument or situation is key in making smart decisions.

I learn a lot from people i disagree with. Not only for cards, but business and everyday life. Only fools decide with information from one side opinions.

The facts remain my friend that the big price differences are usually at the Gem Mint rate. People are more likely to buy the card in lower grades and the CSG slab cannot be beat when they do.

I don't have any really expensive cards from CSG, but I am sure the following would sell very close to PSA equivalents. People will buy these for eye appeal and scarcity. The cards inside the holder don't need PSA to make them more valuable. Yes, if you are grading $3 cards then you have to use PSA to make them valuable. The card in the holder is trash, but you are paying the PSA 10 label.

I think a factor would be that most high value cards worth grading before CSG/CGC time would of already been graded. That might explain why Pokémon is seeing so many cards graded now, back then it might of not made sense but that changed in the last few years. Even right now with each new release of sports cards, what percent of those cards would even be considered high value.

Very true. I have seen that for most sales of my non CSG 10 stuff. Even though I think PSA 10s are overpriced I think we can all agree a rising tide boost all ships. PSA 10s have gotten people accustomed to paying more for gem mint cards. Whether that is good thing or bad thing is up in the air.

That is a great card and just needs a holder for authenticity and the approximate condition. Flippers like grade need the PSA label to make their card "scarce" and worth money with "low pops." Cards like this are worth money in a PSA/CSG/BGS/SGC slab. People are buying the card and not trying to get registry points or a perfect card. Grade only cares about $2 base cards that are worth $60 in a PSA 10 holder and $15 in a CSG holder. He is upset that crap cards are worth crap in CSG holders since he can't make money on them.

Can never go wrong with Musial or Aaron. Agree on the authenticity part, big factor in this day and age of fakes. Nice to know each company will make things right if it deemed a fake

Exactly. I have a Kirill Kaprizov ultimate collection auto csg 10/10 and I guarantee it would sell for a lot more than $500. Grade is a troll and is still salty because of his Pokémon stuff with CGC!!!

I still have to use my voucher. I'm probably going to go with a bunch of low grade T206s. Recent sales of low grade T206 commons are virtually identical to what I paid for SGC graded ones last month.

Only issue is the stupid plastic sleeve inside. Wish they had nice slabs designed for T206 cards!

I agree with that. If I'm buying pre-slabbed T206, I go for SGC first as I love the look unless it's a great bargain deal. But with the voucher, CSG comes out to around $6 a card, so I can't really beat that price and still retain value on them.

For comparison, I paid $52 for a Knabe Piedmont in SGC 2 and $50 for a Clymer SGC 2.5. I was outbid on four CSG-graded T206s this week in 1.5-2 grade, which all sold in the $47-63 range.

POKEMON, LOL Beginning to think you CSG peoples are trolling yourselves.
I don't understand why it matters, but I sold a 2011 Trout CSG 10 for $1500 a few months back. Also a bat down Acuna for $1200 before his prices tanked this year.

Had a suspicion not many actually sell over a few hundred bucks.
True collectors keep cards, you know COLLECT.

Flippers only grade to sell.

What impact does Fantatics partnering with CSG have on future values? Has to matter a lot doesn't it?

That is all pure speculation. The connection is that Blackstone Group Inc. bought CCG. Michael Rubin was part of this purchase with other people and groups. The only tie to Fanatics is Rubin, but his stake in this is probably very small. Blackstone is really in charge of this purchase.

By grade's card selling threads, it doesn't look like he is selling as well. He has things priced 10x's their value and no one ever claims his cards. Grade is a collector because he can't sell his cards.

My 25 card "bulk" order arrived on 10/7 and showed up as received on 10/12. I doubt the 20-day estimate is even close to correct.

They might be speeding up. Grading is down across the board and I am loving the reduced prices and turnaround time. I am getting a PC standard ready because of the value of the cards,

Kirill Kaprizov Achievment MVP RC /25
2019-20 Kirill Kaprizov XRC Auto
Topps archive Peach auto Aaron Judge /150
Skybkx premium Rubies /50
Metal Universe RED PMG

These just came back yesterday.

If you are really concerned about finding high end sales of CSG, just read their blog. They post things like that on occasion.

https://www.csgcards.com/news/articl...ed-brady-pwcc/

But why do you care??

He doesn’t. He is just an instigator and stirs the pot. His whole life must be to be negative on forum threads, all of them. SMH, but I only see his stuff when he is quoted. Lol!

Yeah I've got him on ignore now. He's seriously the most annoying poster on this site, and that's saying a lot.
