Bernie doesn't want to get rid of capitalism, he wants to reform it. Which people on both sides agree needs to be done.

You can't "reform" capitalism. Capitalism is what it is. You can move more toward another ism but you can't "reform" capitalism.

He wants to get rid of capitalism. He says he's a democratic socialist because the only way he can get elected is by using a term people may associate with forward-thinking Scandinavians. If only his plans were remotely Scandinavian.

He's been a communist his whole life. His only criticism of communism has to do with authoritarianism but he doesn't recognize that those go hand in hand. He refuses to denounce anything else about communism. A true socialist would have a lot more criticism of communism.
