Maybe that’s why you’re so upset. Why do you care about who he is as a person while ignoring policy? Most people tend to care about the job being done. The one that the person was hired for. I don’t care what my team’s quarterback does in his private life.

I had a great day at school today. What do I care what kind of person the President is? And why do people like you spend so much time fretting over it? Nothing changes in your home either way.

You are 100% right. I really shouldn't care about the person; but for whatever reason, I do. And it definitely drives me crazy.

Another aspect of it is that I detest the hypocrisy of the liberal mindset (at the politician level) and their reaction to Trump's victory has been well worth any baggage he brought to the Office.

Would I be disappointed if I found out Trump was my father? Yes
Do his policies align with my beliefs/wants 100 times more than the opponent? Yes

Bottom line, I don't really care what kind of person he is. I think most of the politicians have the same, if not worse, skeletons in their closet. His have just been more out in the open because of his pre-presidential life.
