Could be. I was just thinking 18 and 19 Cellos go for over 50% of Hobby price. 2020 they are still well under 50%, presumably because still widely available but they will dry up at some point. Would have been a pretty good investment when they were $450. Maybe not so much at $600.

They stocked cellos multiple times, and i believe they only stocked blasters once. Dont think megas and hangers ever showed up.

Just opened a mega box, hot damn that was trash! Not a top ten rookie or even veteran in the whole box. Got three green pulsars and a Taysom Hill silver..... wish I would have left that one on the shelf.

Hopefully that kills my urge to open anymore.

Also wax prices seem to have stalled, not sure if the hype is just gone from the class and everyone is now moving on to the incoming class.

bummer there wasn’t anything better.

Prices are up 150% from the bottom and we’re in the dead of the off-season. I wouldn’t expect prices to keep increasing indefinitely. You’ll most likely see blasters hit $150 as we get into July/August and camps and preseason hype start building.

Yeah, I opened one of the megas I bought on the secondary market because I got a blaster case at MSRP and figured If I sold one of those it would cover the cost of the mega.... probably would have been better to just bust a blaster with how bad it was.

prizm retail is a tough rip in general. you get x number of rookies per box, say like 6-8 out of a blaster, i forget the exact number, and there are really only maybe 8 rookies that you want out of a 100 card rookie checklist. Two that you REALLY want (Herbert/Burrow). Long odds to hit something. For ripping, Optic is way more fun.

I don't mean to bump this old topic up but I can't seem to find info that is right in front of my face I'm sure.

I'm trying to complete a rainbow of a certain player and was unaware (from previous rainbow guides) of the DARK BLUE ssp. There are two posts about this here but I can't find the answer. Anyone know the print runs of dark blue and white sparkle? Just curious before I buy both cards as I do need them for my rainbow, but don't want to overpay TOO much.

Dark blue along with red are both rare. Some people will say 5 based on previous years but I think they might have bumped them up last year. doubt there are more than 20, but that’s a guess.

red and dark blue were retail exclusives. there are two blues (light/dark and psa sometimes mislabels the light blue as dark blue), but i think just one red.

No Blues are as SSP as reds, people are submitting Light Blues to PSA as Dark Blues because they don’t know, don’t blame them if they’re unaware it’s hard to tell apart sometimes.

I'm going on pop counts. You really think PSA has mistaken that many cards? I doubt it.
