If they'd use the TBT stock, I think the condition issues would be greatly reduced.

Too far in to change course, the ship is already sinking.

I agree. I ordered about 30 of every Judge TBT set last year and had no condition issues at all.

Sadly you are right. I am not doing as big of orders anymore. I don't want to deal with the headache of sending 75% back.

Great set but poor execution so far.

What do you guys think Topps will do with all of the cards being sent back for replacements?

I know that they SHOULD destroy them, but I think we all know Topps well enough by now to have much more realistic expectations.

So, will they send them out as replacements for other cards? Use them as a giveaway at The National? Sell them on ebay?

Ya then you add in 60'000 run last week...

My 3 orders will get to me 3 plus weeks after i pay...

Not that big of a deal... But seems like condition is getting worse and shipping is getting slower...

add in prices seemed to stabilize...

I have 3 sets ordered.. that might be it this week...

Topps destroys them. Every one. I don't know how. They just do. Returned cards will never see the light of day again.

Yeah, I guess because I work in IT and know that email is instant communication, I should have assumed they'd take 10 days to respond. Oh well, next time I'll call. Thanks.

These specific replacements were Judge, Panik, Castellanos. I'm taking pictures and slowly drafting a message to send out to everyone on Harper delay. Should have it done soon. I'm dragging my feet today and Living bashing.

With as much as they are selling... How much more could it cost to make the card thicker?

Would be weird to have first 25 cards a certain stock then change...

But it might be worth it...

I'm ordering small amounts.. i think i have 120 cards.. So i dont see the problems in my orders..

But i have seen a lot on this thread and on ebay with damage

This must be something with large orders. I have received 3 sets of cards (9 cards total per order) over 3 different weeks and all of the cards have been perfect except 1 (Had a puncture in it, so not from shipping). I agree about the card stock of the TBT cards...much better feel in the hand and I can see them having less issues with them if that stock was used.
None of mine have looked like Jake's.....eewww!

That's so odd they send so many in poor condition. They need to step their game up. Yeah, I don't mind waiting longer on Harper. Those are poop. Also bought a couple Altuve.

Is it possible that they are doing it intentionally? So that there won't be a ton of high graded cards in the set? Making those that are even more desirable?

I imagine it's a bad view from a CS angle, not to mention they can't just change policy and not have me send them in, but it would be fun to burn these in the fire pit and video it. Yeah they probably wouldn't like a video of me burning Topps cards, even if it is harmless.

But they have to know resellers are going to send these back.

If they wanted to make mint condition a premium pull, if you will, you have to let buyers know ahead of time.

For sure, but Jeeves said, they would cost more and more importantly wouldn’t have the feel they want.

Centering was my issue with TBT...have all but abandoned that line myself due to that; even with replacements provided

Reminds me of the chipping you would see from early silver age Marvel comics in the early 1960s.

No sponges in that shipment?
