Thanks! When some base BGS 10 Traes are going for $300-$500 the Galactic 10 seemed like a no brainer. My bid was actually quite a bit higher than that too - so I'm obviously really stoked at where it ended.

100%. Trae has had an excellent season - his best so far. Not sure why the Hawks aren't living up to expectations but I'm more apt to blame coaching and injuries over Trae since Trae proved to us last season that he's a winner.

Congrats to Ice Trae.
2nd player in NBA history to lead the regular season in total points and total assists.
1st player to do it both in College and the NBA.
This guy is a magician, and makes it look easy. So fun to watch.

Best point God in the east.

Nice surge to end the regular season on a good note. Crazy they were toying with lottery status before all star break while the Halvs were inching towards second...now they're neck n' neck.

So... win vs CHA, win @ CLE, then they play Miami in the first round?

I'm actually OK with that for the Hawks. 2 "happy to be here" teams in the play-in and then a Miami team that's had some weird juju over the last month or so.

I am honestly expecting the Heat to blow up- Jimmy I don't think is long for that organization so if the Hawks make it through I like our chances to destroy another franchise.

What a game! From 6 points in the first half to 32 in the second half. What a great player this guy is! It looks like we are going back to the playoff baby! I never get tire of collecting cards from this guy.

I love Trae but need to see him beat the big boys. He does this against the Knicks and Cavs but gets bounced in round 2. I’m hoping this is the year, but I don’t see them beating Miami.

Default Trae Young Thread

Miami will be tough for sure but we beat #1 seed Philly last year don’t forget. I wouldn’t predict us to beat the Heat, but I won’t be surprised if we do

I mean, he beat the Sixers last year who was the number 1 seed and averaged 29 ppg, 9.6 apg against them. Then was up 3 at the end of the 3rd in a game that would have put them up 2-1 against the Bucks before he got hurt and had averaged 31.3 ppg and 6 apg in those 3 games. I don’t know why the Knick to seem to be the only team everyone remembers last year.

I'll save you some time - this isn't the year. Collins is hurt, Capela now hurt too. Okongwu can at least do a lot of what Capela can, but the defensive drop-off from Collins to Gallo is too steep.

I agree 100% plus that team (including Trae) doesn’t play a bit of defense. I just enjoy watching him play and would like to see him get further.

Ok. And Embiid doesn’t exactly carry his team very far in the playoffs either. I’m a Trae fan, but trying to be realistic

They played better D last year - big drop-off this year for Capela, who was likely playing hurt, especially at the beginning of the year.

But in the 4th quarter last night they did a pretty good job against the Cavs, kept them from driving and out of the paint on multiple possessions and made the shot clock run down.

Trae is of course the weak link on D, but when he makes the offense move like it does you just have to live with it.

I think they could have a couple hot shooting nights, like they did vs Cleveland, and steal a couple vs Miami. But that's probably it. It needs to be Trae plus a couple others in support, like last night it was Bogi and Huerter. And they overcame poor nights from Gallo and Hunter. But as long as two of them step up and Trae doesn't shoot poorly, they have a chance to steal a game here and there.

I’m not saying the Hawks will be the Heat. If Collins and Capela are out or limited, which seems likely, then I don’t think they really have a chance. I was just addressing your comment about how you have to see it against the big boys and that he does it against the Knicks and Cavs but gets bounced in the 2nd round. He’s not been bounced in the second round yet and has done it against the big boys.

I don't expect the Hawks to beat the Heat, but damn Trae is fun to watch and a stone cold assassin when it counts.
