I stopped buying once the RC's came out. Everybody and their mother wants a piece of the kid currently. Prices are high. Base cards are over produced ,etc.

A few of those autos are pretty cool though.

I'm interested in how he's going to do in his 2nd full season. He's fun to watch.

Depends on what cards your looking to get. Base cards are cheap because of over production.

I'm not much of an auto guy. So those might be lower than expected. Honestly don't know.

Everything 2016-2017 has risen quite a bit from when I was buying / hoarding him.

Define "overproduced".

If Topps makes more, they know they can sell more. They sell more, there's likely more buyers on the secondary market.

Honestly, we might need to look at Topps' production figures to attempt to correlate how strong/weak the hobby is. If we went back to pre-2014 production, that would not be a good sign.

No kidding. He had a monster second half after settling in and getting over his injury. If he continues on that pace next year you are looking at MVP numbers from a 21 year old. Things are really cheap.

17 Best will be the cheaper of the two but it being a '17 card alone will push up it's value. I see these like Albert Pujols Bowman Chrome vs his Topps finest auto from the same year.

Pulled an Acuna from archive snapshot yesterday. I'm torn as to whether I should keep or sell (new product, only a couple on eBay). Awesome card, just not sure if it will hold its value over time being snapshot

Haven't seen this one. On card RC auto isn't a bad thing at all. If it were me I would sell since it's a new release and put the money towards another Acuna AU.

Beautiful card! I don't think its 01/67 because User ID Wrightstuff bought it. I missed it by few minutes.

I love the Independence day Parallel as well. I ended up buying two of them

Ive got about 40 base Heritage High RC that I plan to look over with a jewelers loupe to pull out the gem copies.
Think its worth making a large sub to PSA and having a stack of these base RCs graded?

Yes.

The Heritage action in PSA 10 is easily a $500 card when Acuna is 26 and has an MVP or two under his belt.

This is the direction I've been leaning. Not looking to cash in on a purchase. Just add a nice card to my collection. I prefer the Heritage action and Update photo over the Update Chrome.
