Juanny had another great season, by any reasonable metric, and he'll be in the playoffs plenty over the long run once Stearns figures out how to bring in some pitching. He did a lot more with much less in Milwaukee.

I mean yeah if you're a bagholder his season was fine but for a Mets fan this ended in disaster, Soto was not good at the beginning of the season and the team is closer to 4th place than 1st. Playoff prospects are not bright rn, Stearns and Cohen have alot to do.

They literally missed the playoffs on the last day, despite having no pitching. In no way does that suggest their future playoff prospects are "not bright". But keep trollin!

That's hilarious. He is sitting at home watching the playoffs while the Yankees, without him, are in them. Yankees fans are well over Juan Soto! With Soto, the Yankees (under cheap Hal) would never have gotten Bellinger and Fried. I'd rather have both of them on the team than Juan Soto.

He had a very good, not great season. Very slow start, but finished strong.

Writing was on the wall for the team in August. The pitching was bottom barrel after the ASB. You’re not going to win games with a team ERA of 5+. Really pathetic considering how much money was thrown at this team to win now. I don’t even know what they do in the offseason. They need half a new rotation and a complete overhaul of the bullpen outside of Diaz.

What happened to the pitching lab? The dumbest move the Mets didn't make was trading for Crochet, but I guess they didn't want to have to sign him to a long term deal.
