So of course I happen to find people over the last month on COMC who had Rutherford autos available and I needed to spend credit to build a BGS order, and I end up with a base, 3 ref autos, blue 70th, and orange shimmer.

I WANT TO BANG MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALL REPEATEDLY

So how much will a base auto of Rutherford be now, $25 by the offseason?

If you say it it must be true.

Cool question
It helps to have scouts on every level of every organization as friends.

Gray would get lit up as a Yankee. They need Darvish, Verlander or Cole

They could insantly DFA him, it doesn't matter. They took him to get better prospects back.

Clippard is inconsequential. It's just about balancing contracts.

Clippard is a great guy to throw out there every night if you're committed to the tank.

I'm off the Beer bandwagon. You could probably get him outside of the top 5.

Clippard - 2017 $6.15M

Frazier - 2017 $12M
Robertson - 2017 $12M, 2018 $13M
Kahnle - Salary wasn't reported on Baseball Reference

How exactly does taking on roughly $25M in contracts and sending out a $6M contract "balance contracts"????

Clippard was put in the deal because the Yankees didn't want him, and he was probably going to get DFA'd anyways with the acquisitions. This isn't the NBA where you need to balance money in and out because of a cap, don't try to pretend Clippard serves a financial purpose to this deal

Correct. It was about the number of arms in the bullpen, and Clippard was odd man out after Tom and Dave showed up. In addition, Chicago needed a vet arm for their pen, having just lost two.

Money was inconsequential.

Quality reliever probably going for a cheap price. Reports earlier in the morning said MIA wasn't overly thrilled with SEA's system, but clearly it still won out.

I'm intrigued as to who the next name to drop will be. Houston appears to be aggresively pushing on Sonny Gray right now

Sonny Gray + Brad Hand or Zach Britton = World Series WIN.

Cole, Cueto, Verlander ... NO NO NO.

Surprised a 2+ month rental on Phelps would yield 4 guys. Brayan Hernandez is the only one I have heard of though
