Not many. It’s not so much that people want his first card with Bowman, it’s that they want his 1st Bowman card. His 2019 Bowman’s Best is a nice card though.

You're probably right. I can certainly see why the one labeled "1st Bowman" would be more sought after than all of his other various Bowman cards that also came out in 2020. I guess my hang-up is that Witt is in a bit of a unique situation, as compared to most prospects, in that he had Bowman cards that came out the previous year. I keep thinking back (and I'm dating myself here) to when Mark McGwire burst on to the scene in 1987. The '87 cards were his rookie cards, but the one we all chased was his 1985 U.S. Olympic Team card. I can't quite shake the feeling that this could be a similar situation, and that Witt's Bowman card from an earlier year than his "1st Bowman" could carry some cachet, especially with only 722 cards (for the 2019 Bowman Next) in existence.

I've been wrong before, though. Many times, in fact. I hope Bobby plays well enough to make this whole discussion relevant.

difficult to compare online to pack issued cards.

Agreed on the difficulty in comparing online to pack issued; that's one of the things I struggle with.

I do have some of each, though, just to cover all bases!

Interesting points. And you’re not way off because that Bowman Next card isn’t exactly being given away for free. It’s a better buy than his base 1st Bowman paper/chrome, I’ll say that.
