Looks like that will happen to me as well.

I did 2% promote for a card I sold last month, and it never took any fees from it.

Yes, had noticed several as well. A couple of April and one in May.

Do any of you use Facebook Marketplace to buy or sell? I'm browsing the listings and I would say everything is overpriced trash.

Use it primarily to sell bulk that I pick up in other collections. I've actually had some of my best collection purchases through Marketplace - but it may be 3-4 times per calendar year. Most of it is overpriced junk.

Ya I know we should all be happy with sales when we get them. WTH is wrong with these buyers who pay for 2 BINS back to back and refuse to use cart. Items were both Free SH, but the 30some odd cent fees add up when buyers are morons and 10000 FB since 1998. UGH just needed a vent

I offer flat rate shipping and see it all the time. My buyers are paying another shipping charge, so I make an extra 60¢ or whatever, but I'd still rather they use the card and take advantage of the free combined shipping.

Yes, this was one of the many reasons to not offer free shipping due to those .30 trans fees. I of course still get buyers to hit BINs, pay the shipping amount on each item so then I have to back and refund them the additional shipping amount and still get dinged that .30 trans fee which hurts on lower end sales.

In some cases, I will just ship each item separately, only for ESE's though. If the buyers are not smart enough to use the cart or when they make offers to wait to pay for all their items I will just sometimes ship separately and not incur that fee. Obviously this does not apply to free shipping.

I have sold 18000 things on eBay over 23 years

I can’t remember a time I get less views on auctions then last few months

I sold some heritage action variations and heritage ohtani and judge stuff

Popular things. I did not get more then 7-8 views in any of it in a 7 day auction starting at 1 dollar.

Makes this even funnier is the cost of hobby boxes have went up so much but modern sales down so low

If you don’t promote then it goes to a spot nobody sees it ?

Would not surprise me at all ?

This may be a dumb question, but I will ask anyways. Let's say I put two cards from the same dealer on my watch list. Dealer sends 10% off each card. Is there a way to accept these deals without going through a checkout process twice? Seems silly to have to separate transactions from the same dealer. I hope that makes sense.

Add to cart before checking out should be what you need.

I am now up $70 with one 300 count (should net me ~$100) and two other related lots (should net me $20-$40). That would be a total of $190-$210 for roughly 15 hours of "work". Call it $12.50 to $14 per hour. As a comparison, if I list $1 cards with no cost basis it's ~$9 per hour.

Ulitmately, the card show ready experiment will be a success and not a terrible way to use low leverage time.

Glad to see it’s working out for you, as it has me. I’m going to try a different version this week that’s “card show ready” but merely sleeved and not top loaded. I think I’ll try 350 sleeved cards for $150 and see how that goes. If I can get close to $150 it will probably be worth throwing in more cards (my top load lots are 300 cards) for the time and expense saved on the top loaders.

I have thought about this as a seller, because I have a lot of buyer buy multiple cards for the 5% off where the combined shipping would be cheaper. If you figure it out, be sure and let us know.

I had that exact thought recently. I'm curious how it ends up.

Another thought I had is which do you think people will pay more for, 2,000 base or 100 toploaders? I've actually got two lots up right now where the 100 are very similar. One is a card show ready in toploaders, the other comes in a flat rate box with 2,000 base. A big difference between the two is I ran the one with the 2000 base at 1¢/free shipping because I need the space. Obviously that one will go for less, but I wonder how much less?

A problem I'm starting to run into: duplicate listings.

This is the third one in the last couple of weeks. I sold a card at auction last night for $360. The auction ended shortly after 8 PM. When I went in and relisted as fixed price, it was relisted for the opening number of $300. Obviously I didn't notice. Then of course it was scooped up overnight and needed to be refunded.

Have two generic questions:

1. Can you make offers less than a dollar on cards? I know you can do auctions for less than a dollar if you set buy it now to $1 (which is required) can someone offer .50 for it
2. Has anyone been able to consistent get the 'Sold Listing in last 90 days' thing to stay on? Very inconsistent on my side. It stays there if you do nothing to a listing but make one change and it is really had to get it back.

I just got an upaid item strike.

Oviously I am not happy about it. Card was won on the 11th, I came in on the 18th to pay and it was cancelled. This is a very common situation with me because I am buying so much with combined shipping from the big consignors. I have never had one cancelled even when I pay late at night. on the 7th day...which is literally always for me.

I've emailed the seller and will contact customer service tomorrow, but to reiterate, I am not happy about this.

ETA: The interesting thing is on my account the shortest time I have to automatically cancel items is 11 days. Either the seller has sort of special preference or they went in and cancelled manually.

This has been an ongoing problem for the past several years. It seems that at least once a month, someone makes a BIN purchase and when I look for the item so I can ship it, I see that it was sold already, usually in the past few months.

I had one customer buy 4 large lots of 70's football cards. Everything went well with the transaction. A month later, I sold 2 lots of 70's fb cards, only to find that 2 of them were from the 4 lots that I had sold previously. I checked my listings, and all 4 of the lots were still listed. So, I ended the listings. A week later, I sold another lot, only to find that it had already been sold in the original group of 4. I again checked my inventory and found that all 4 of those sold lots were listed for a 3rd time.

I haven't contacted eBay, because they wouldn't have a clue about fixing it. Back when I would only have a couple of hundred items listed, I would go through the listings every couple of months and verify my inventory, but now, with 5000 listings, I can't do that.

So, I don't know why eBay is relisting BIN's that are sold, paid for, and shipped.

Anyone having issues doing bulk relisting? I ended about 3,000 items today to relist, but it won't allow me to select multiple listings to relist. Tried different browsers too.

I had this issue earlier this morning and refreshed the Unsold page a few times until it finally took.

Something is definitely going on site-wide. I can't navigate, search, or click on the options for any of my scheduled listings.

you waited 7 days to pay?

not sure what settings you are using, but when I sell I can set it to automatically cancel after 4 days. 11 days is wild.

Same, unless a buyer messages me that they're watching other listings/auctions, I'm canceling and striking after 4 days. Not paying and not reaching out is on you, and a strike is deserved in that case.

Most large consignment sellers allow 7-10 days to combine purchases...
