they oversold and screwed mc members by shipping boxes to people that bought on public drop. for a month we’ve been getting a runaround on them either shipping or cancelling. which we know they are cancelling i’m just waiting to see how long it takes them to do it.

You still haven't received a refund? They sent out quite a few refunds two weeks ago.

I’m curious if FF contained not only Wander but Witt and JRod…how explosive the set would get.

i have 2 mc accounts and got one box through mc and 1 through public drop so i didn’t get completely screwed, but at this point i’m just waiting to see if they’ll refund me without calling again.

Same boat but my order says “shipped” but was never sent to FedEx. Called Topps last Tuesday or Wed. and was told I could wait or I could process for a refund. Said CS was still sorting out how some orders were sent to customers over MC members and that orders were sent to addresses that didn’t order boxes so sounds like system crashed/overloaded on demand and then as someone mentioned earlier Topps didn’t kill the MC link and it allowed regular customers to purchase. I just haven’t seen a lot of personal boxes of these compared to last year so I know Topps is still sitting on some boxes but taking a very long, slow process of checking customer orders and times ordered or if ordered on multiple accounts either that or hoping people want refunds…I’m being optimistic

Was not given a definitive time frame when should be done but was told “soon”

It’s a mess over there. The two boxes i received (from two separate orders) have the same tracking number on topps website. I honestly believe they don’t have a great idea of who they shipped to and who they didn’t.

I'm curious how many Montgomery members got screwed on this one. They should give us free membership for next year to compensate.

A company that would offer something like an entire free membership as compensation wouldn't have messed up your order in the first place.

But when it''s listed as one of the key features of membership then I expect to get what I paid for when I enrolled. It's not some whatever product, Bowman Sapphire is one of my favorite products to open and is one of the reasons I keep enrol in the club every year.

Something like the right to buy an additional box from a future release would be fair compensation.

Wanting a $600 payoff (or more when next year's fee goes up) for losing out on buying a box you can still get under $400 does seem a bit much. Would you also be expecting a refund of your original order?

I paid 300 for my membership so that's the value. You don't know what next year's fee will be.

Sure I'd take an additional box on a comparable product for sure. Can Topps handle that??? If they can't get that right, how on earth could they handle that? I was just shooting out free membership as an example, I'd take any form of some kind of compensation.

The fact is that Bowman Sapphire is a huge selling point for membership and they shouldn't be able to just cancel people's sales at will and give them nothing in return, especially since random Joes got our boxes.

I get it, mistakes happen. But at least figure out some way to make it right. Someone earlier suggested a box of Sapphire Star Wars in replacement. Sure I'd take that. Being able to purchase an additional box of the upcoming Finest Flashbacks? Sure I'd take that too. There would be a ton of ways to make it right, however I doubt Topps will do any of them unfortunately.

No doubt it would take a lot of members voicing their concerns to get even the littlest things like not receiving club emails fixed but there's always been this undercurrent of fear among members of never rocking the boat. If you shoot for the moon in terms of compensation, you'll just be slammed with troll comments.

It's sad really. This club could be so much more but it's stuck on a hamster wheel of mediocrity and embarrassing customer service.

Your argument seems super valid. I don't think expecting what you signed up for is asking too much LOL, but just out of curiosity how does people like Houdini get the seemingly countless sapphire boxes? Does he just get them on the open market? Seems odd that people "guaranteed" a single box of each product a day early gets shut out then big breakers gets unlimited.

i’m trying to decide specifically what to ask for… maybe just a wildcard of 1 extra box on a launch of my choice lol? most boxes you can get on the public drop so the extra doesn’t really mean anything. It’s gotta be a high demand product.

Bowman chrome sapphire would be the most straightforward, but not sure it will release in this membership year. last years was obviously super odd timing.

No reason why it can't simply be next year's Bowman sapphire, even for those who might no longer be a member at that time. What Topps needs is a club liaison to handle members' requests. Unbelievable that a club this size and this high profile seems to have has no one at the helm.
