Maybe some, but it would make much more sense to have two viable wrestlers going for the number one contender match than a joke going against AJ.

Was there anyone out there that actually thought Corbin had a shot at winning? It was absolutely telegraphed then that AJ was winning. Put Drew in that spot and I'd bet a lot of people think Drew is winning because; 1. That was supposedly the next feud. 2. Because it would make sense to have a heel go after the babyface champion.

Plus, how many times does Corbin need to fail in the main event before "top heel" status wears off? I mean, the guy has been in the main event picture for 6 months and hasn't done anything. Get him out of here!

Getting to the next chapter of the story is fine (AJ vs Seth) but is it that hard to make the story leading up to it credible and believable (Corbin portrayed as a potential opponent for the title)

Probably an unpopular opinion but Rollins just does nothing for me.

My unpopular opinion is that I'm actually fine with Corbin in this role. I could be biased because he's from around here. I've heard him do a few interviews, and for what it's worth he seems to be a pretty good dude in real life.

I get that people don't like his character though, but he does set the reaction that they are looking for from a heel.

I agree. He's a great wrestler but I prefer him as a heel and his promos do nothing for me. With that said, I completely understand why he's champion and he deserves it, he's just not my cup of tea.

Probably less unpopular than you think. He's fine, but his current 'character' (hint: he doesn't have one) makes him too generic. I don't dislike him, he just doesn't really have 'it' to me.

Someone that does have 'it' to me? Lacey Evans. I totally see it with her. Knock her all people want, she has this presence about her.

Rollins is the type of guy that back in the peak era of WWE, would be mid card, thats not to say hes not talented, but he would be the quintessential IC title guy

Absolutely. Definitely talented, but I don't see anything that says' top guy'. Maybe a little more as a heel, but even then I'd be skeptical.

I personally would have had Rey become the #1 contender and faced Seth at MITB. Let's be honest, the MITB matches are the draws for the PPV. Everything else is filler. I would have saved Seth vs AJ for something bigger, like Summerslam.

And yeah, the KO turn was obvious, but I wish they didn't pull the trigger on it so quickly. Face KO was a lot of fun.

Man, this Superstar Shakeup has given fresh tings like Becky vs Charlotte, and heel Kevin Owens.

Don't know how we would have seen those without the Shakeup.

NO one is complaining about a Owens-Kofi feud.

Charlotte should get a shot since she never lost the title to begin with. Charlotte does more for the SD Women's title anyway.

That's the beauty of NXT!

Only 1 hour each week and 5 ppv's each year just like the good ole days!

This

Remember the blindfold match at WM7 with Jake and Martel? That literally developed over weeks and it wasn't even a "big time" match

It just made sense though.

Owens as a face just didn't work. I was open to seeing it, but his mannerisms and the way he talks just scream heel. They tried, but no sense keeping him babyface when it doesn't make sense.

Haven't seen much of his face work but he's definitely a great heel.

My guess, at least in part, is broadcast tv wants the 'big matches not a lot of storyline building to ppv they don't get action on. Especially with SMACKDOWN going to fox, every episode has to be bigger and better. It does make the ppv seem cheap when we have seen the same match a dozen times leading upto it.

Raw and smack down generally suck.

I'm not saying they dont, just my opinion of one reason they do what they do.

Everyone thinks raw and SMACKDOWN are bad apparently

Yup, Becky beats both in the same night. Gets to look like the strong champ she should have looked like after mania.

3 hour raw and not one comment lol. I turned it on when I was cleaning for the last hour. Honestly I was bored. Maybe didn’t help I saw Avengers Saturday and GoT yesterday, hard to get excited about Raw after all that lol.

Raw was absolute dog crap last night. It's like they said "hey, lets grab everyone that no one cares about, and lets send them out there."
