I paid $150 (got one of the cheaper) for the indigo .. I would think the bazooka would go for more than $300. I would throw it up quickly first one up there for $600ish obo see what the offers come in as.

I love the kid and I believe his skills are elite. However, I think he is a very poor investment for the following reasons:
First red flag was he showed up to ST 30 pounds overweight. He then lost 15-20 pounds by mid-May. He has put a lot of that weight back on. As an investor, I dread the possibility of him putting on more weight next off-season.
This isn’t official, but we all know he’s supposed to carry that disgusting Blue Jays lineup. Elite prospects typically do really well when they are surrounded by solid hitters. More importantly, there isn’t as much pressure when you’re protected in the lineup.
He has the worst and most inexperienced Manager and hitting coach in MLB.
He’s my favorite player, I want him to be elite, but I can’t lie to myself. This is what I’ve seen in 2019.
We need to see more in the 2nd half besides BP laser shows and high exit velocity on a few homers.
Do you use disgusting here as a dig or as a compliment? If the former, you should do some research. This Jays lineup will be one of the best in baseball in 2 years. Biggio, Gurriel, and Bichette will be stars. All in the same timeframe. Add in Tellez, Hernandez, Jansen, and other lower minor guys and this team will be very good in the upcoming years. Vlad Jr will be a Top 3 MLB player in a few years. His personality came out during the derby. People like him.. He has "IT".

My opinion anyway.

Has anyone got notice on GQ Indigo parallel being shipped? I see base ones and black and white on Ebay, no Indigo yet though.

He's probably a 60 now. Give it another year or two and lets see where he lands.

Add in a guy like Jordan Groshans who is Kris Bryant lite...the future looks bright for the Jays. With Vladdy QBing that crew, it’ll be fun to watch.

Was amazing to see him hit in the HR derby... I had not really followed him close, as he'd been scuffing a bit, but after that I decided to check out his more detailed stats on BaseballSavant... https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savan...-r-hitting-mlb

I'm shocked... what is he doing different in his day-to-day games that has his exit velocity and authority so much lower than what I saw him doing in the HR derby? Guess he needs to build confidence?

yea he's a 20 yo kid in the bigs for the first time playing in canada on a young team. it may take him a minute but the power combined with the definitely 100% 80 hit tool should have him batting .300+ with some moonshots. seems like a good kid too so people will wanna root for him.

Might be because of the 60 mph BP meatballs he was being served up in the Home Run derby as opposed to the major league off speed stuff and fastballs he sees every game.

His current batting average and BABIP would put him at a 40 Hit Tool. His Game Power is around 55.

I agree with everyone above. He is garbage. Sell me his S2 SPs. I guess I'll take them all off your hands for $5/ea. May even go up to $6.

Can't agree more! Disgusting line-up with the likes of Biggio, Gurriel and Bichette??? If that's disgusting I'd hate to know what you call a terrible line-up. Add to the fact they are playing for last right now, imagine this team adds ANOTHER impact bat in the draft next year? And wait until they turn Stroman, Smoak, Giles, etc into good returns! HE IS TWENTY! Just turned 20 actually, in MARCH! Which means he was 19 before that, THIS YEAR! He is going to figure out what pitchers and pitching coaches are doing to him, and soon!

I know I've been on here before and I used Frank Thomas as an analogy and people gave me flack for it. But I'll double my bet. Thomas was just a freak (one of my favorite players of all time mind you), but MASSIVE, a massive man who understood the strike zone and had incredible plate coverage. But his swing we would never mistake for George Brett or Rod Carew. He was just an incredibly intelligent, thoughtful guy at the dish. Guerrero is very much like him, but WITH the swing. I remember watching an interview where Thomas said he wanted to consistently hit .340 with 40 HR, which he was only able to do once. These are my expectations for Vlad, but coming in a full two years younger than Thomas, I believe he will do it consistently. Again, who cares if that's from 1B or DH, as long as he does it?
