Not at all, especially since it's already Thursday and it's not on sale. That could mean pre-sale goes through Thursday, product goes on sale Thursday or goes on sale later. I'm no English major either but that email also says **Limit of 3 boxes per member during pre-sale** How did that part go?

Are we 100% sure there is product left and the pre-sale didn't buy it ALL out? I mean since limits weren't enforced...

Not saying that's the case, but it may explain why no emails or sales announcements are out.

I'm not trying to argue, just stating the facts. Of course the Topps note could have been written incorrectly. But as written it absolutely does imply that the general public sales begin today.

Yeah, that is what I was trying to get at yesterday with no preview email sent about the product. Just wondering if there is any product left. Maybe MC members bought it all.

This is like watching a dad in the stands after seeing his boy run to first base arguing vehemently that his boy was safe when he was out by a mile.

Sometimes people just can't help but see what they want to see and not what's actually right there in front of them. LOL!

They announced the presale just after 1, so they might announce the sale to the general public around the same time.

I believe you could purchase pre-sale boxes prior to their official announcement though, I got email 30-60 minutes after I purchased my boxes

Yeah this has been a major frustration for me. I was really excited about Sapphire and Ginter X this year and both were sold out by the time the emails hit my inbox. I like Houdini, but it's been sickening watching how much Sapphire he's been busting, knowing that I never really had a shot at it at normal prices. Having to hammer the refresh button on a message board like BO to have a shot at exciting products is not a consumer-friendly model. I get the point (supply/demand/marketing/excitement/blah blah) and Topps is a company who is in business to make profit, but... these practices are somewhat insulting and certainly don't make me an evangelist for the brand.

Believe the vast majority of the Sapphire Houdini broke he bought through BO, who either bought it themselves direct or when BO bought up others' boxes. All of it might be from BO if they require him to buy from them as a condition of him being on their forum. I know he's prohibited from shipping an unbroken box.

I think it's sold out due to Topps screwing up and overselling during the pre-sale period (i.e. forgetting to enforce the per customer limit of 3 boxes).

They might have created a mess for themselves. Calculations based on the odds show that there were 8000ish boxes, maybe them not limiting one 3-box order per account caused them to sell everything during the pre-sell window.

This is my biggest fear concerning Sapphire and Ginter X, unless they strongly enforce a per account limit of boxes you're gonna see this over and over.

I don't have an issue with Houdini; more Topps' relationship with BO, which hindered the consumer's ability to access product at their initial price. I have to believe the vast majority of BO's stock (and therefore Houdini's via whatever arrangement he has with BO) came directly from Topps, since anyone informed enough to know about Sapphire and BO knew that their offering prices were WELL below market value.
