Couple back from psa today, the green prizm was originally submitted in January with a value of $100!!! The Revolution is a pop 1, tough grade.

Does anyone track the price of the Giannis 2013 Hoops Rookie?

I have a raw one and everyone now and then I like to check on it so see what the price is. I just checked right now and WOW, the difference in pricing on closed listings is mind boggling. Recently, on the low end, one closed at $62 on Aug 23, but the most recent today closed for $499! The one before it sold for $100. That is crazy price variation! In between those are all price ranges from the low $100s to the $400s. Obviously it has something to do with the condition of the card, but you're going to spend hundreds of dollars more based on a picture on eBay?? Most of the cards look mostly centered and condition wise look fine. The ones selling at the low end don't have some major crease or massive scratch to justify the low price. Just curious what people's thoughts are. I track several cards and none come close to this kind of variation.

Looking at it a bit more, I do think I see one game that might be going on. The listings that have free returns seem to be selling at the higher end. So I guess the move is - buy it, overnight it to PSA, pay for expedited service level, get it back in about a week. If it grades a 10 you make a minimum of $500. If it doesn't you crack the case and send it back?

Yes, I see what you are saying about the $62 sale. Still do see a surprising number of auctions that close under $200. Right next to ones that sell for $400+. The one before the $100 BIN close at $142.50, but the auction ended at 9:16 AM PDT, which is a terrible time to end an auction. The seller probably left $100 on the table just because the auction closed in the morning. Possibly good deal for the buyer.

What do you use for best offer search history? The sites I know of seem to be very inconsistent on when they work.

Question for my Giannis folks. Just came across a Pinnacle red artists proof rookie of Giannis. From what I remember, these weren’t very sought after, but I just checked the BGS and PSA pop reports and it is pop 1 and pop 7 respectively. Is there something that I’m missing here?

Post a photo. I have a museum collection one and they don't come up for sale often. Everyone is subbing prizms so the other flavors are not sent in as much.

I love the Giannis museam collection parallel. Need to get one of those for my collection. Reminds me of when I was collection Pinnacle baseball back in 1994-97! Great looking cards!

I just picked up a Giannis Pinnacle red AP the other day. I too was shocked at how rare they are. Very similar to the Hoops red and blue borders talked about above.

Hard to say I've been looking to add one but none have popped up for awhile. Seems like a couple reds pop up a week but they are also hard to gauge with what bad condition a lot seem to be in.

Combined BGS Pop Report on Blue and Reds is 25, so they are certainly the "rarest" of his Hoops parallels.

I think the Artist’s Proof might be the more rare parallel when I look at BGS pops.

Wanted to rip some basketball and nabbed one of these instead of a 2019-2020 Chronicles. Glad I chose this one!! BOTH Giannis cards were in the VERY last pack—unbelievable. I was SWEATING! Kobe is game-worn, and for some reason I got three autos instead of two!

I was seriously so gutted opening that last pack, so ready for there to be nothing. And after pulling multiple CJ McCollums and Anthony Bennett rookies, I would have been more than a little heartbroken. But they were both there in the final pack, separated by maybe only ten cards! You can imagine the sigh of relief!!! If you decide to rip, please share!!!!

Hobby Jumbo seem to only yield one base per box. You can get red back or gold border or AP as well, but I didn't see 2 of any GA in the 12 boxes I broke.

That said, lose packs are dangerous. If you rip to you hit, you know the odds are so not in your favor to hit again.
