And I am done... no #97 or #98 Moser purchases matched up with PWCC sales.

These don't include the many cards that he purchased that were ungraded and impossible to trace now. His feedback was full of Leaf and Parkhurst raw card purchases including bulk lot purchases.

Great job on the research of these 312!

There’s dozens upon dozens of purchases that had scans that were too poor to be useful. There’s also dozens upon dozens of cards that have not resurfaced yet. He waited 8 years to resell some cards.

I'll compile Registry data for the 1948 Leaf set tonight and publish here. Of course there's also the 1948 Leaf football cards that the PWCC house eBay account purchased and then magically were altered, graded, and appeared again in PWCC auctions.

My posts start on page 109. There were a few posted before that in this thread that I did not repost, but I think you already captured most. You can check by searching “1948 Leaf” before page 109 in the thread if you want to be certain.

SGC Cert #:7852544

1932 U.S. Caramel #23 Jimmy Foxx PSA 5.5 to SGC 7
Alteration types: Corners sharpened, card stock chemically brightened

Sold on 5/14/2016 as a PSA 5.5 by Heritage Auctions to an unknown buyer for $657.00
Consigned to PWCC and sold on 4/9/2019 as a SGC 7 for $1,850.00
Final price: $1,850.00
Value gain: $1,193.00!

Here's another recently-graded card that has undergone notable alterations prior to certification by SGC. The Foxx card here has been chemically whitened, removing not only the stain on front but the cream color of the natural paper fibers, and the bottom two corners have been artificially sharpened.

Green circles on the front are unique paper fibers and print marks. The yellow box shows an area where I believe that PWCC manipulated the photo to cover up flaws in the card's red color through the use of a blur or magic wand tool/filter (Click here to read another recent thread where PWCC has been accused of digitally manipulating images). The only other plausible answer is that the card has been recolored, but I believe the former, not the latter is the reason for the difference here. Blue boxes show the two corners which have been doctored. And finally, the purple box shows the right edge stain that was removed.

"On Sunday, a card buyer on a social media forum reported that an auction house had promised to issue him a refund for a trimmed 1948 Leaf Joe DiMaggio he bought last November so that it could be taken out of circulation and turned over to law enforcement."

Does someone have the link to where the buyer said the card was being "turned over to law enforcement" or is that just conjecture by the author?

Seideman's writing reminds me of Mad Libs where you have to replace "social media" and "auction house" and "grading company" with proper nouns.
But yes, some of the PWCC (er, the auction house) emails have referenced turning over the cards to the unnamed law enforcement agency.

According to Heritage Auctions a large amount of record breaking bids are made by new entrants to the collecting marketplace. I have no doubt law enforcement takes wire and mail fraud seriously related to sportscards.

Anyone know why the link to Our Team is missing from PWCC's website? Since it seems to be missing I will post it here in case anyone needs it.

IIRC there is a thread about the buyer/specific card on Net54, just having trouble finding it.

Does someone have the link to where the buyer said the card was being "turned over to law enforcement" or is that just conjecture by the author?
Hilarious how Seideman shilled PWCC in almost every single article he has put out for like the last two years. Yet, this one, he doesn't mention them once.

This is pretty good. I'd probably just combine all '48 Leafs into one and add the '55 Bowmans he's decimated a decade ago. Forever unclean...
