I posted my 2013 BBM 10th season Hokkaido #89 PSA 10 on eBay for $3k (last sale 1900 but unsure if verified) just for giggles to see if anyone would offer me something stupid. Someone just offered $2.5k.
This was a $800 card a month ago. I may have to take this.

This is exactly how you lose cards that you regret selling later . Just make sure you have a plan of what you're doing with that money after.

I am feeling the same way, still not sure if I a. Going to sell my collection or not. I just think that I will never is. most of the cards again. I am just so torn, ohtani or happy wife?

Both? Keep the ones you truly want and cherish, move the rest (or at least some and treat your wife to a nice gift/experience, then she might even become supportive of your hobby).

If it's an all-or-none situation then simply remind yourself who you share a bed/life with (life > hobby, fam > cards, always).

@BoSoxFan: This is where you raise the BIN price to $5k-$6k and see if a higher offer comes in. Then you can take advantage of market inefficiencies and rinse/repeat the cycle (build a free PC while also amassing more funds to play with).

My wife doesn't pressure me because she knows better, but that concept is deeply annoying to me. Turn the table and ask her to sell all her nice handbags or anything she likes that's worth money. Won't go so well

I'd sell it, you put your crazy price up and someone got real close.You have so much nice stuff, when you feel the regret of the 2.5 k you just made look at your rookie auto or your Curry gold.....you'll feel better. Just sayin.

I have PTSD nightmares about handbags.

Thanks! Brooklyn backs are fun to collect. I started picking them up in 2010 and always grab a few each year. It's an interesting collection because it includes celebrities, presidents, athletes from other sports, and other random people.
