This booking was a complete 180 from how Ripley was booked the night before on Takeover.
That has Vince written all over it. It just continues the trend of NXT people being booked horribly once they are on the main roster or a big PPV.

I wish they would book them better. Walter was another one that was booked horrible. He's an NXT champ and he's the first one eliminated? Just doesn't make sense.

Survivor Series was ok, but I don't think NXT needed to win that many matches. And Im a big NXT fan and I get they want to get those guys more recognized for the NXT show, but still.

As far as the Mauro thing goes, I think Graves needs to shut up with comments about his co-workers. If there is an issue someone in the office would say something. In the mean time maybe Corey could try to be half as good as Mauro on commentary, which won't happen. Or Corey can go back to crying on twitter about CM Punk not returning his calls.

Judging from his response this morning, Meltzer may have twisted things. Wouldn’t be the first time.

I liked the old heel Rollins, this obnoxious heel Rollins not so much. As much as I can’t stand BROCK, was hoping for a quick appearance.

Finally finished Survivor Series.
The women's matches were absolutely brutal. No chemistry whatsoever.
When I watch NXT, I imagine what great matches there could be between Baszler and Flair, Baszler and Asuka, Ripley and Flair, Ripley and Lynch, etc. But after the Survivor Series, I couldn't possibly be less interested in any of those future matchups.

NXT matches are fluid, fast paced and tell a story.
WWE matches are choreographed (badly) and methodical and all of the big stars are booked even Steven. Even though Shayna Baszler won, she couldn't stand tall at the end of the PPV. Lynch had to steal her heat and the PPV had to fade to black with Lynch on the announce table, and her music playing. Sasha Banks couldn't eat a clean loss. Rhea Ripley (who was booked like a badass, 24 hours earlier) had to resort to heel tactics and a numbers advantage to pin a non-champion. Even Steven.

I think the best match of the whole night, was the one that I had the least interest in, during the buildup...Lesnar/Mysterio. It had a great pace, it told a story and there was a definitive winner. Though they can build on this story with the inclusion of Dominic, they can also end this story exactly where they're at. Perfect.

Sunday Dec 1
Starrcade 2019... from Georgia..

expect a match of the year candidate
AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens

and also
Braun Stroman vs The Fiend... in a Steel Cage
expect a mandible claw within 5 minutes... yawn

and Rusev vs Lashley in a Last Man standing...
should be good..

also
Intercontinental Championship: Shinsuke Nakmaura (c) & Sami Zayn vs. The Miz (handicap match)
Miz is just turrible... will definitely skip this one

WWE Network is only showing 1 hour of it, Women's Tag titles and LMS are only confirmed matches.

I'll probably get torched for this, but the size differential between Lesnar and Mysterio is just too large for this match to have been interesting in the slightest. Now, that doesn't mean I think the bigger guy should always win or anything like that, but, it does need to be *somewhat* believable. Rey over Brock wouldn't scratch the surface of believable, so I am thankful WWE wasn't stupid enough to do that. Rey did get his payoff with winning the title over AJ, and that's fine by me, even though I prefer AJ and I don't care if Rey is ever on my television again.

Personally, I'm hoping the Drew Mcintyre/Orton thing from Raw leads to a match between those two. I think they match up well and it could go either way.

I'd like to see Brock/Lashley as well.

The interesting rumor and idea that I've heard is they are grooming Kevin Owens to take on Brock at WM, if so the heel turn from Rollins makes so much more sense. It's been Rollins show, he's been the standard bearer, to make Owens believable he takes out Rollins. He wins RR, and goes in on a straight burner. He's also one of the few people in the company that can cut a believable promo. If he says I'm going to bury this guy you're like I could see that.

Slightly off-topic, but last night I watched a wrestling documentary on Amazon Prime called 350 Days. I really enjoyed it. Lots of great, insightful interviews with dozens of wrestling legends.

I'm completely with you.
I always say, "I've seen Rey Mysterio's match", because to me, he has one match that he's repeated over and over for 15 years regardless of the opponent. Same moves, same order, same promo, same build.

Not for one second, did I think Rey had a chance to win. But with all this being said, with the outcome still being predictable, I thoroughly enjoyed the match, because they covered all the pro wrestling bases. Great pace, great storytelling, some ooohs, some aaaaws. Match of the night, as far as I'm concerned.

Eh, I don't think so. Why else would Graves then go on his podcast and apologize for what he did? Graves is just a dick who needs to get off twitter. Graves has plenty of skeletons in his closet, be better he just stay out of the limelight.

I agree, that was my initial thought. Graves is kind of a slime ball.

At least, cool item for the right buyer, but not for someone looking for long term value or resale IMO.
