This is a run I'll never finish for Frank, so completing the next best thing feels good.

That is a beautiful run. I'm working on mine, but man, the 98 Now is hard to track down.

2003 Essential Credentials. This is an unnumbered copy. One day, I'll snag a pack pulled copy, but until then, this will do.

The one good thing about collecting a slightly above average player is his Credentials are right in the middle. I would guess the Larkin Now is < /30?

Yeah, Larkin's 1998 Now is /25. His 1999 Now is /34. It's tough, but not impossible like some.

It is weird how things pop up when they do. Just recently I saw the second Rafael Palmeiro Fleer Brilliants 24KT Gold PSA 8 get listed on eBay. I was curious to see if SGC or BGS had any in their pop report so l checked their pop report and found BGS had a 9 with subs with two 9.5’s and two 9’s.

I thought wow I’d love to see that one pop up. The pop indicated the card was graded in October 2016 so I figured the chances I’d see it any time soon if ever were not good.

Literally, the next night I had trouble falling asleep so I was checking the updates on my eBay searches. There under my 24KT search was that BGS Palmeiro. The BIN also happened to be what I found reasonable enough (I mean it’s Raffy but it doesn’t stop people from putting crazy prices on some of his stuff).

After I had popped the BIN i just thought, “Are we leaving in a simulation? Did I just conjure the card up just by looking into?”. I just found it unbelievable I had literally looked the card up a day earlier, found it was graded all the way back in 2016 but then the very next night it’s up for sale. Had either of the PSA 24KT Gold’s just sold for big money I would have understood why the BGS got listed when it did.

A big one showed up in my mailbox today (and another big one expected tomorrow)!

Finally got the Now /34 to go with the Future I already had.

Another Essential Credentials mailday!

This time it's the 1998 Future.

Now I just need the 1998 Now to finish the run. Which is easier said than done.

I know it's not 90s but hear me out - this is a top 3 post 2000 set with an absolutely 90s looking design. Just go with it...

Haha! It's funny because when you posted the Lankfords the 99 Now and 98 Future were both in the mail on their way to me. I don't like talking about cards until they are in hand. So I had to bite my tongue so hard when you posted them.

I'm a fan of all the new EXs!

i hate that PSA is slabbing some in the bigger, thicker slabs with inner sleeves. they're just less less streamlined and aesthetically pleasing (since we know card collectors skew more OCD about this stuff, i know y'all can relate)

the 1999 (which was graded a looong time ago) is in the typical slab, the 98s are in bigger slabs with sleeves. you can see the difference in the reflections in the scans

my 99 EX is sitting in the PWCC vault now, hope to get it shipped out soon

I don't even know what to say. I've been searching for the Larkin 98 Now and it's out of 25. I can't even imagine how big a card that is for a Piazza collector. It's probably bigger than most 1/1s given how desirable the Essential Credentials are versus most of the sets that have a 1/1.

2000 Pacific Invinsible Wild Vinyl Sammy Sosa /10

Yes, this set technically isn’t a 1990s card, but close enough. This is one of the toughest insert sets ever made.

1997 Finest Embossed Gold Refractor

These are gorgeous cards. I wish I could truly capture the essence of the card, but I gave it my best shot.

I'm so happy to check another big one off my list and add this to the collection.

Great run! Love my ‘99 Lankford future, pulled from a couple of packs

Amazing card. At this point what could possibly be left on your list?

Nice! I've never pack pulled anything as nice as that before. Do you know what the serial number is?
