Agreed. The craziest part for me is watching people run after a guy they just saw shoot someone else with a rifle. Like... what?!? Being there in the first place is dumb enough, but it’s time to dip out once the lead starts flying. But no no no.... they run AT the bullets!

I would not count years in a youth police program to be consider actual training. At 17 years old, he should be thinking about what kind of higher education would make him a better police officer. Criminal law, psychology, sociology, weapons training, de-escalation tactics, mental health testing, and others. He sounds like Seth Rogan's character in Observe and Report. Oh, and if he was so dedicated to these youth police programs, he would have known that possessing an illegal firearm and then crossing state borders with said firearm, is probably not a good idea.

I concur that the second shooting looks a lot like self defense which he does have that right to defend himself. The first, who the heck knows who was the aggressor because he was already being chased down by the person he eventually shot.

Edit to add: He also said he was there to protect property which I think I saw is against the law. You're not allowed to fire upon someone in an attempt to protect property. It wasn't even his. Guilty or innocent, free or in prison, this kid is kind of a dummy and he ruined his life all to look cool. Either way, how he spends that life will probably be up to a jury.

Very telling video to say the least. Thanks for posting it. its tough to tell exactly what happened with the first confrontation. However the second one appears to be a clear case of self defense. He gets punched, knocked to the ground, kicked while on the ground and someone appears to make an attempt to shoot him as well. He only opened fire at the last possible second to protect his life.

Now it could be argued the people doing this to him are trying to stop someone they perceived just committed murder.

If you resist arrest you might get shot. If you chase after someone who has a gun with the attempt to harm them, you might get shot. Its not rocket science.
