Or if you choose the 1 right player you could be in big money. I have yet to see a tie for first in any of these leagues so far, at least the ones I have been in. Fortunately the Sunday/Monday or Monday/Thursday games have helped me recover a bit if I took a beating for the weekend games.

There were 802 people in the SNF-MNF I did this week and no one had the same lineup as me.

Also, if I make it to the money, do I really care if someone has the same lineup as me?

I cashed in three of the four Sun Monday lineups I did this week. I thought that was easy. Even had a zero point player on my team, when I selected that speedy wideout from Seattle who did nothing. Could have placed better then I did, not that I am complaining but Harvins missed TDs hurt. One league I missed on was going heavy on the Bungles

Desean was the key during that time more then anyone else but one thing the general public has not yet picked up on was how Seattle struggles against small speedy receivers like Jackson. Those matchup explotations are vital because if you hit on them and everyone else whiffs your always money

I dont think that same lineups would be a problem. Some do better then others with a smaller field while others do better with larger ones. Kinda like life I guess, some struggle when they have unlimited choices while others dont

Alright, here is my potential lineup for a 50/50, probably a $2. Put it together pretty quick

QB-Teddy Bridgewater-$5900
HB-Matt Forte-$9000
HB-Brandon Oliver-$6200
WR-Jordy Nelson-$8500
WR-Emmanuel Sanders-$8000
WR-Terrance Williams-$6900
TE-Niles Paul-$5300
K-Blair Walsh-$5100
DST-Detroit Lions-$5000

What do you think?

I am just curious and not bashing anyone by asking this, but why do people post their FD/DK lineups? Obviously it's to get advice, but if your team looks great, what's to stop someone from copying it and ultimately taking a share of the prize money (if in a larger entry)?

I'd take it as a compliment if someone copied my roster

I'm going to guess that Oliver and Williams will have huge % owned given their prices, will have to try and find a way around those two

Kinda like Matt Asiata, Rashard Jennings, and so many others in the past. I swear they price them low to trip everyone up.

Yeah, it seems they price them right in the middle and it makes them really tempting because you can put the extra money elsewhere. It is hard to estimate how much Oliver will be used, I see Williams being used a lot more. Either way, they both have good matchups this week

I always think my teams look great....that's the problem. I think your point is valid but I think the more you peel off layers of this onion the more you start to realize that working together is the best strategy. My reason for posting my lineup is simple.

I want to find a few guys that play daily fantasy football every week so I can bounce some ideas off of. For me personally everyone I know only does year long leagues. So I hope to post a lineup here and hope that someone looks at it and says "I like it but I wouldn't play (name) because of (reason)" but that's yet to happen. I want to learn how to do this well as I think its a skill.

There is a reason why the very best players out there are always winning, and why those people never play alone. The guy who won the million last week had four guys help him make that lineup. If someone copies my lineup that's on them and it's a gamble. I would rather get a group of people working together to find that unbeatable lineup so everyone wins. That's why I post mine. It's probably a pipe dream, but if you don't try you won't ever get what you want

Plus there are various levels of players here as far as the contests go. I am a low dollar player, some regulars in this thread are playing in much higher dollar games then I am. Since the games and contests are based off entry fees I can't bump into anyone playing bigger dollars. And if my idea of a think tank group were to ever get off the ground then those people could always claim contest numbers so only one person in the think tank could be in that contest (Minus the bigger ones of course)

I think Beckham will be a better player but for fantasy purposes right now I'd prefer and feel safer with Randle

Very well said and honestly I never thought about it that way. I always think my team(s) are great and then only win a few bucks here and there so what you said and that fact that you found out that person that won the million dollars also had help. I will try to join in more and give my opinion with hopes that others will do the same. Thanks for the response on this.

Depends what type of league you're doing. Like a 50/50 doesn't matter as much because I doubt that 50% of the league will be owning them. So you gain on probably 75% of the league with that player and since it is a 50/50, you only need to obviously place in the top half. That's why I like 50/50s because even if you have some of the same players as others, it doesn't matter all that much as long as that player performs well for you

Would anyone be interested in joining a league for games played Sunday and Monday night this week? I was just thinking something like a $2 entry for up to 20 people (if that many are interested).

We can do winner takes all, top three get prizes, or top third get prizes if we get 20 people signed up.

If interested, shoot me a PM with your email address and your choice prize payout. I'll then email the link to everyone interested.

Figure I would group this together as its the same answer....

The bolded I don't like. Beckham has played only one game right? "He's a beast, everyone loves the dude, he's going to take the world by storm"...There is a lot of hype about that guy but I personally have to see more then 4 catches for 44 yards before I plug someone in my lineup. You don't know if that's the floor or the ceiling when that's all you got. What we do know is that Randall even when Beckham played is a target machine. He had 10 targets to 5 for OB in that one game, but Randall has had 10 targets each game his last 3 games. To me it's not a question today, you go with Randle over OB

That's likely to change sometime in the future, but when that will be is anyone's guess. Truth is rookie WR's usually don't make much noise in a rookie year and while it's nice to be on a guy before he breaks out its impossible to predict TD's or breakout games. Not to mention the reason I bolded those two guys is your going with some serious question marks there. What do you think the chances that both Murphy and OB have good weeks in the same week? I like the contrarian strategy but I just read today that Evans was back practicing. I am sure that you didn't think he was doing that when you slotted Murphy in there but some times we can out think ourselves and I think you are doing both that there.

To me I could not give my seal of approval on either of those picks otherwise it looks good to me. That's just me though. I'm sure some would agree with you.

This is the type of discussion that I was meaning when I said yesterday, it would be nice to work together with a few people to make the best lineups. We aren't always going to agree, and I could be dead wrong, but its think tanks like this comment here that can help everyone out in the tank to come to a consensus about OB vs RR
