Is the Pen Pals auto graded on the PSA 8? Like others, I would definitely go with the Pen Pals if the auto looks good. On-card auto, distinctive design, more valuable set with Donruss Elite, and wearing chiefs gear.

I was going to recommend looking at the Donruss Optic auto in a similar grade, but holy crap those have run up in value...What about Limited auto? Big fan of those autos / designs as well relative to the cost

I went with the Elite PSA 8. No auto grade but I don't see why it wouldn't grade a 10. Bold ink throughout, no smudges, good size. I compared it to about 7-8 other Elite autos and it was #2 IMO.

The card looked under graded. Could have been a 9 on a good day.

If the auto was graded a 10 how much of a premium would the card be worth?

Ya know, there’s a thread here called ‘NFL Playoff fraud watch-Make the call’ that’s right up your alley. You can ‘just add some truth’ and put the Chiefs in the fraud column as you have so often in the past months been spouting. I’m guessing you’re not willing to do that because you’re aware that the ‘truth’ you’ve been talking about is simply your own opinion. But I’ve been wrong many times.

As a side note, I was thinking about how if they go to the Super Bowl (not a foregone conclusion by any stretch) it will be Mahomes 5th Super Bowl appearance in 7 years which is wild. If he doesn't, it will be 4 in 7.

Tom Brady played 23 seasons. His RC year he didn't play, and then in 2008 he was injured for the year in game 1. So really, he played 21 years. And he went to 10 super bowls. Every other year for 21 years Brady played in a Super Bowl. That is so absurd. If Mahomes makes it this year, he's only halfway to Brady which is wild to me. Give Brady his flowers. Damn.

I'm in full support of recognizing the greatness of both of these QBs (Montana as well).

I really don't want this to become the next Jordan/LeBron debate, which is the most insufferable thing in sports talk, and mainly only passionately discussed by the biggest curmudgeons around.

I can't wait to see playoff Chiefs, so obviously keeping offense and defense under the vest all season long...The receivers overall are much better than last year, nice running game going, great defense. The only worry is that left tackle situation but I know they have plans for this.

Oh, I totally get that and I agree. As I was looking at Mahomes accomplishments so far it just put it in perspective for me. How insane it is to go to the Super Bowl 10 times in 20 years.
